Are you trolling or are you really voting Romney?

Because, I respect your opinion and if you see something in Romney I've missed I'd love to hear about it.

    Just saw this.

I think there's a chance Obama's own beliefs are likely to take more of a center stage during a second term. He certainly went solidly center on most issues in the first term.

I think Johnson has the same problem Paul and Romney have - they believe so fervently in deregulation that there is no need for anyone to try to buy them. They are already true believers that most of the problems of the market can be fixed by removing what few balances and protections the people have from the corporations.

So it probably won't happen with Obama, granted, though I hope there might be some chance of movement on that issue.

There's no chance in hell the reforms we need to break up the big banks and take on the corruption issues in Wall Street happen under people whose rallying cry is 'free market will fix all!'

I'm firmly convinced that's what got us into this mess.

The counter point being that regulation is not necessarily going to make things better by virtue of being a regulation. In reality, you can do just as much damage with regulation that is unwise as you can by eliminating one which is necessary.

    Therein lies the quandary.

Also, I've listened to a TON of Gary Johnson comments and i don't think I have ever once heard him say "we need to get rid of all the regulations."

Obviously it's a general Libertarian principle that government should be leaner and less invasive, but that does not necessarily mean the Libertarian candidate is all for a wild-west free-for-all either. The man is considerably smarter than that.

Among the things that are pushing me towards Romney are:
-How staggeringly destructive four years of Obama have been,
-How painful that video of Johnson speaking was and,
-Just how much the media is going after Romney.

I mean really. If it were six to one, half a dozen to the other, why would they spend so much time bitching about Romney's dog and what he said at some fund raiser when Obama's policies are destroying this country economically and getting Americans killed in the Middle East and on the Mexican border?

Romney may be a slippery RINO from a liberal state, but at least he's been a governor and a successful businessman. Cue gargamel with a snarky comment.

You can't be pushed towards Romney. You're already crowding his spleen. If you were any more prototypical a Romney voter then your name would be Mitt.

So you have no reason to vote for Romney...just reasons not to vote for Obama, Johnson, or Dan Rather.

Which makes him no better than people who have no reason to vote for Obama other than that he's not a Republican. :techman:

56% of respondents will not be voting for either of them. That's probably around the national average, given voter turnout and third party votes.
