After talking with several members of the staff, we all agree that once a name is in the public domain of the media, it's fair game.

In short, if you don't want your real name used against you, don't volunteer for interviews with the L.A. Times or write books. However, if there is libel involved, please have your lawyers contact me and I'll gladly turn over any and all relevant information on the user in question.

Wordforgers suing each other for libel?



I say shut down the Red Room immediately.

I can't sue "The Flashlight" and you can't sue "Elwood." But, if someone wants to start throwing around real names, sooner or later they're gonna fuck up, especially if they use it in The Red Room and then someone might just have a case.

Seeing how Wordforge doesn't quite have the audience of, say, the New York Times, I doubt libel is an issue.

Unless millions of people read the forums, and we don't know about it...
