Dear Wordforge, I'm heading out to the forest for the weekly Sunday afternoon patrol with The Dog and the way things are, I was thinking of going heeled. The problem is thus: It is a bit too warm for a jacket, so I'd likely do open carry. But I'm dressed in black and grey right now and the holster for my M1911 is brown. Alternately, I could carry the 9mm, which has a black holster, but I really like the .45. What should I do? Does gunleather need to match the outfit or is there a fashion exception for it?
