I was realizing the other day that since all the decent teachers are being run out of the teaching field, and decent future teachers are probably being discouraged from the industry because of right wing idiocy and left wing waste. The GLBT community should get together with the black and other minorities to set up private schools and get in on the voucher system.

Grab up the decent teachers. start taking over dead retail space. Pay teachers decently. Add in support to keep focussed attention on students with smaller class sizes or assistants that are working towards teaching. Keep administration costs low. Also add things like evening childcare for working families.

If you lowered the excessive overhead of private school administration and got the good caring teachers with job security while enabling them to reach more kids and have decent pay, you could make a commercial name for yourself that would have a good learning environment people would want to send their children to. All schools do not have to have overbloated administrations and be super costly.

Part of the problem is the dems. You could standardize things and focus on the students without paying so much money. I am pretty fucking sure I could trim some fat from the budgets of most schools around while focussing the money back to the student's education while trimming a few highly paid wardens who do not do shit.

There's a difference between believing that you can lie to people and get away with it and knowing you can do it. Most politicians fall into the former category, Santos falls into the latter. (Like Trump.) And that's what makes him more dangerous than other politicians. Because those that still have the little voice in their head telling them to show some restraint aren't going to go all-in on the crazy. If you don't have that voice, then you don't have even the slightest hesitation about what you say because you don't expect there to be any repercussions from it. Even if it's just "If I say that, they'll expect me to do it, and I'm not sure I can" it's more than someone like Santos is willing to do.

So, they'll say literally anything if they think it'll get people to support them. They don't think about follow-through, or anything else. All that matters is what happens in the moment after the words leave their lips. If the people love what they say, then it's golden. If they don't, then you pivot to something you know will get people to support you. Like telling them that there's hordes of MS-13 pooling at the border, just waiting to cross and murder people.

Recently, the “conservative and religious” American College of Pediatricians’ public disclosure of the contents of their own Google Drive revealed a similar 129-page list of references from ACPeds attributed to Van Mol , dated January 2, 2022.
• Comparison of the sources and text included in the documents shows that Van Mol’s work for AHCA featured about 11 new sources that do not appear in the January document, while over 120 sources were included in both documents, often in the same ordered groups containing identical formatting and spelling errors. Other material included in the ACPeds disclosure indicates their members sought to use Van Mol’s original list as a shared resource within their organization.
• Later, Van Mol repeatedly texted AHCA assistant deputy secretary Jason Weida to ask for a copy of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ letter to the AHCA on the proposed exclusion, because “ACPeds and some others would like to have the link” for “press releases they are making”.
• Over a third of the May 2022 document for AHCA consists of material from the January 2022 ACPeds document. Van Mol later billed the AHCA at $350 an hour for this “master background document” and other work, totaling $6,125 in April and May 2022.
