The major US pizza chains are in the poll. If you have another preference, blow it out your ass. /Red Room Content
They are all equally fine. Nothing exciting but nothing offensive either. I'll take Amato's over them any day.
"Pizza" chains are an abomination. At least they're an abomination if you want to get pizza. They might produce something edible with tomato and bread, but what they make is about as closely related to pizza as is ketchup on an english muffin.
I wish there was a really good local pizza place in Auburn. Best we have is Mellow Mushroom, which is pretty good, but not all that great.
Little Caesers is okay, and very cheap. They have the 5 dollar large and it's the closest to my house.
I vote for Domino's because it's so bad that it's good. It's so far removed from good pizza that it's like it's a whole other kind of food. Locally, we've got a couple of these that deliver and that's where I get my take-out pizza. There are a couple of other places that are really good (at least one of which is owned by transplanted New Yorkers), but they're too far from my house for delivery.
Likewise. It's not the best pizza in the world, but it's my favorite of the choices given, and I can't think of a national chain I like better.
Out of the four, I'll have to go with Papa John's. But a real pizza comes from Chicago. Little Caesar's is ketchup slathered on some dough, Pizza Hut is just ok, and Domino's gives me the shits.
I almost added that the beer selection is better than the pizza. Also, Buffalo's closed. I'm goddamn motherfucking pissed about that. Now the only bar in town that I like is Ale House.
Of the low quality pizzas, I'd have to go with Pizza Hut, if only for the lunch buffet. Where else can you get a danish in pizza form?
If any of you are in Connecticut and want to see what real pizza perfected over 74 years, let me know and I will bring you to my family's restaurant. Pizza chains aren't pizza. Do I mean to sound smug and superior? Yes.
Little Caesar's sucks big donkey knob! I worked at a couple of them in my teens/early 20s. Their Crazy Bread is the only decent thing on the menu.
As far as pizza goes, and the list provided, I have to go with Papa John's. While not my favorite pizza, I think it makes the best pizza out of the list provided. Pizza Hut and Dominos is okay. Pizza Hut though I think sprays too much of their butter crap on their crusts prior to baking them. They also do not make their crusts. Their crusts come premade and on some Friday and Saturday nights you are likely to call to place an order for a large pizza and be told they are all out. Dominos, what's up with the cheese they use? It always looks funny. Little Caesars, always good if you are looking for really cheap pizza. But, as far as taste and such, I don't think the flavor is all that great.
Pizza Hut is the least bad. Papa John's tastes weird, kind of sweet. I really like Uno's. They're not afraid to put sauce on a pizza. And it's good, chunky sauce. Most other places barely scrape some on, and to me it's the best part.
The Domino's we have is quite good. Apparently the one in *******, KS basically offers tomato-on-cardboard, but ours is good.
I don't think I've ever tried it, actually. I'm not exactly a pizza connoisseur, anyway. I mean, I even think the pizza from the college cafeteria is just fine
Little Caesar's sucks, but at least it's cheap. The others I've never really cared for, either. Among the chains, I like Round Table.
Little Caesar's is exquisite. It tastes like it is made from dog food and extruded petroleum products. It's like White Castle or McDonalds, where the sheer junky goodness is a virtue. Plus you get two mediums for like $5.99.
I have never experienced this thing you call "real pizza" but of the choice, I'll take CiCi's (To be fair, if you find a good Pizza Hut it's good, IMO, but it's very hit and miss around here whether you will get a good one or not)
Ahhh we have the best Pizza delivery place in the world here Run by an Italian husband and wife who used to be the 2 Italian chefs at a large resturant, they make the best pizza Ive ever had in me life. And they're cheep and the deliver quickly Sod pizza 'chains', thats like going to McDonalds or something
Yep. Round Table is the best of the chains. Not that that's saying much. Kinda hard to find decent pizza in SoCal, though there are a few places, Peppino's, BJ's and NYC Cafe are all good.
You mean I real deep pan pizza! I find it depends what mod I'm in. In London we have a lot of choice. If I'm in the mood for thin crust then I'll get something from Pizza Express. If, on the other hand, I want something more Pizza Huty then there's a small chain in London called Tops Pizza, who make something akin to the Pizza Hut stuff, but fresher and cheaper.
Papa John's off the list. Personally I prefer two different local restaurants. Bradley's and Checkmate (they're the kings of pizza (or so they say)). Bradley's is the once in a while, damn good family owned pizza place. Checkmate is a sloppy take on NY pizza, cheap, easy and really quick delivery. They also have pretty boss calzones. I also know most of the drivers and they clamour to take my route because I tip well and they get it their expediently for the same reason.
