Dude was the baddest of the Egyptian gods. Fun fact*: Ra and Ammon were not always the same god. At one point, I think shortly after Akhenaten's reign, the two were merged. Fun fact* #2: ammonia is named after Ammon, or rather, after his temple which was apparently built on some sort of natural spring of water which contained high levels of it. * epistemic status: meh, I heard it once, never bothered to check if it's actually true, but this seems like enough effort for this thread.
