Looks like all they’re talking about is the All-Star game being held in Atlanta this year. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id...l-star-game-georgia-following-new-voting-laws
I'm sure if Biden fights this shit with Federal action, Moscow Mitch will say "them trying to stop our Republican power grab is a Democrat power grab!! ".
Ever notice how racists have this weird obsession with water? Border Patrol sabotaging Samaritan water drops. DHS attacking water stations at the Portland protests. Segregated water fountains. Now this shit about lines at polling stations. It's this pattern they've got going. Pay attention to that. Might be important.
I was living in Floyd County GA (Yes. Marjorie Taylor Greene Floyd County) when the state ditched the slavers’ rebellion flag from their state flag. After the NCAA pulled their March Madness games. Lots of Sound and Fury but ultimately it signified nothing. ‘The city too busy to hate’ is a good moniker. There is a reason you don’t hear a lot about Atlanta when it comes to the Civil Rights Movement. Even though Dr. King was from there and his church was there. Racism was bad for business so Atlanta was one of the most progressive cities in the South. CREAM is another good Atlanta neologism. Cash Rules Everything Around Me. Cash. The cash Atlanta creates allows Georgia’s rednecks to live the best life of any redneck in the south. For real. The rednecks don’t know it (because they’ve been lied to) but their politicians certainly do and when this is all said and done, if businesses stick to their guns then the law will technically stand but for all intents and purposes it will be gutted.
Cash? So CAPITALISM saves the day! What made you come around? Seriously, pick an ideology and stick with it for five fucking minutes. You're all over the fucking map Corky.
Nazi ideology was built on the notion of something that could be objectively tested and proved, the notion of eugenics. People can politicize and rationalize science just as easy as anything else.
Nope. Nazi ideology was built upon the premise that one group of individuals was superior to all others and the science was manipulated to support that and any evidence showing that there was no inherent genetic superiority by one group was violently oppressed. But the Nazis could only do that within the territory they controlled. Anyone outside of Nazi control could easily find the truth.
As I said, science can be warped and manipulated just like religion. It's not any more fair to say "well the Nazis carried on their thing in the name of bastardized science" than to say well "Nation X carried on their war in the name of bastardized religion."
Except that there’s no way that one can prove religion has been bastardized. Any act, no matter how horrific can be justified by how someone chooses to interpret a religion. You can claim that you’ve got data that proves you can jump off a skyscraper and survive, but that’s meaningless when you attempt to demonstrate it and wind up splattered all over the sidewalk.
Whisky - Scottish, Irish (with an "e") or bourbon. Beer is also great. Real beer, though, not the mass-produced shite.
Beer is gross. I have a friend who says she used to think she didn't like beer, but it turns out, she just doesn't like cheap beer. I do not like any kind of beer. There's a particular taste ... I don't know if it's barley or hopps or whatever else that differentiates "beer" from say .. hard cider or other alcohols, but whatever that taste is, it's gross. I've only ever had American whiskeys or bourbons. and I do like those but don't find them any different than vodka. Just that they are a bit sweeter and therefore, more calories. Which is why I switched.
A) The ability to prove that science or religion has been bastardized is irrelevant to whether science has been used to justify wars. It has. It is objectively true that it has. B) It may be politically incorrect to say so, but it would be easy enough to prove whatever one wants to about race as a "scientific" measure. C) If a religion states, "Don't do X" and a war is launched in the name of doing X, then it's a fairly clear thing that the religious precept has been bastardized. I would argue that is what has happened in numerous versions of war.
so why don't you explain what I'm unable to recognize? On second thought don't fucking bother. Is your smug, smarmy ass able to recognize this in action?
Say it ain't so, Joe! Seems Biden is outraged - OUTRAGED I SAY over Georgia's new "Jim Crow" voting laws. You tell em' Joe! And then you can mention how it is hard to vote in Delaware which is - correct me if I'm wrong - your home state Joe! Well isn't that interesting? Which US states make it hardest to vote? | US news | The Guardian Damn, Delaware! Some felons can't vote? Goodness wouldn't that affect - ya know - minorities disproportionately? Just askin' And you need an excuse for early or absentee voting? So you think minorities might try to get one over on the system? What's up with that? Delaware Identification: The state requests any identification with a name and address, or address and photo. People can still vote on Election Day without an ID if they sign an affidavit. Voter registration: Delaware allows mail and online voter registration up until 24 days before the election. Felonies: Delaware permanently strips voting rights for felons who have committed certain types of crimes, including murder and rape. Others can vote after they’ve completed their sentences. Early: Delaware only allows early voting for those who have one of the approved excused. Absentee voting: Delaware only allows early voting via absentee ballot for those who have one of the approved excuses. Source: Voting information I'm drawing a few different conclusions here: 1) Biden is a fucking hypocrite or ignorant as fuck and has no idea what his home state's voting laws are 2) Biden supporters/most liberals are looking for racial injustice 24/7 and will leave no stone unturned in their quest 3) Shit bag liberals will cherry-pick the shit out of what they consider is racist and what is not
Remind me how much influence a (former) Senator has over their state's laws... I'm having trouble, but I can almost visualize it... it looks like... a goose egg? Who knows what that means, guess I'll need your help after all.
Maybe no direct influence, but it is pathetic case of but the libs don't have the aptitude to grasp something so nuanced.
It would be nice to have federal standards which make things universal across the states. 1. set what is and is not considered needed for voting. Do you need ID? Residential requirements for your primary residence. When you would be eligible to vote for a location if you move. Can felons vote. Primary voting for those registered to a party or not. 2. The fed should set a required number of voting locations per county based on population. Something like locations and booths available per a certain number of residents and geographical area. 3. requirements for getting on the ballot in a state or location. I would also say automatic inclusion on state ballots for candidates who reach a federal guideline instead of having to meet every state's guidelines to get on the federal ticket. Allowing some local gerrymandering for a federal election is a load of crap. If you want to have some adjustments for your local positions that is your business, but for federal positions you should have to reach federal requirements.
Agree there should be Federal standards for the presidential election but the thing is when there's a presidential election other local or state elections down-ballot voting is going on. I think that might complicate the issue. Something could be worked out though. All I know is Florida definitely has their shit together, and other states do too. Some states are consistently FUBAR. No matter who wins any election there's no excuse for not doing things right. We can never have trust in election integrity if we don't fix things.
