Geez...Sokar was one of my favorite posters here. Seeing all the reactions from people posting about him was always entertaining. In this thread, it's been...enlightening. :brood: Seeing that this cancer has an extremely low survival rate beyond the first year, perhaps that's why his behavior about the board became as it was.

Pancretic cancer is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, even in jest. RIP :(

Yeah, my thoughts exactly, but didn't want to say it in this thread out of respect. :diacanu:

Sounds like he put all the living into his living that he could, and that's all any of us can do. Gonna miss razzin' the guy and watching him give the liberals hell. On the off chance there is an afterlife, I hope he's partying, jamming to Hendrix and havin' a ball irritating the crap out of the deserving.

Props to Sokar. He trolled so effectively that Liet, Anc, and 14thDoc can't let it go even after his death and even felt the need to try and justify their positions through examples.

:sigh: Do we have to go over what trolling is?

Being a giant douchnozzle, and having people call you a giant douchnozzle isn't trolling.

Then please stop being a giant douchenozzle in a memorial thread. Make a troll Sokar thread if you wish, but keep the crap out of this one.

Classy to the end, tard. I hope when you breathe your last, someone posts the address of the funeral home so I can go take a true, legitimate shit on your grave. I will be sure to eat a lot of bad curry before I go too. It's likely no one would stop me because I can't imagine anyone wanting to go to a funeral of an irrelevant dumb fuck fake-lawyer who doesn't even practice law.

How Sokar goes and shitstains like you continue to waste oxygen is the reason why I pray hell is real.

Anyways, it's great to see the types who hated Sokar enough to generate ill feeling even after his death. I loved how obsessed and butthurt people got over shit he said, the quoted post above being a prime example. I also don't feel bad about kicking Mr. Smarm in the nuts like a mule because I have no doubt Sokar would've approved.

Often, me and him would exchange PMs in regards to a new hot chick in life or on the internet we were looking at and would also oftentimes tell each other about the dumb shit happening in our lives, mostly due to relationships.

I'll miss the guy for sure.

    Damn.

When I saw this thread title, I assumed it would be one of those tasteless joke/troll threads we do all the time, with the first post in the thread being the punchline. Then I saw Tamar's name on the thread and knew it wouldn't be.

I hope his last weeks were as good and as pain-free as they could be. Pancreatic cancer being an absolute bitch and possibly the nastiest of all cancers, I know they probably weren't. But I'm also glad to hear he fought like hell.

By the way, I get the flaming-as-tribute idea, and it actually does seem appropriate in a classic Wordforge kind of way. So for those who are doing that ... hell, why not.

But anyone who genuinely can't find the basic decency to regret the untimely death of a fellow human being from a terrible disease ... should at least muster the basic decency to shut the fuck up.

Granted, it's really only one person who's really guilty of this. (I don't really count Anc saying he's sorry but won't really miss the guy.)

It proves the person in question is petty, vindictive, and in the end, I feel more sorry for the sheer amount of patheticness displayed by them. I doubt the person has any real friends and likely only has a mom who loves him, if at all. He's the type that has to pay a woman to touch him.

Very dissapointed to see some of the attitudes in here.

I always treated WF like it's own strange entity. It is what it is and people behave as they do here. But I, personally, always saw things as staying with WF, and that outside any relationships or interactions I had with people from here would be different. Fresh, if you like. Free from pre-conceptions of what that person is based on their WF persona, especially considering trolling is rife on here. It's why I ultimately chose to befriend some of you on FB (and why the occasional fake FB profile from Wordforgers who still want to hide dissapoints me). It may seem unlikely, but Sokar was one of my FB friends. I trhink his attitude was akin to my own, he was what he was on here, but take away WF and he was just another regular bloke who didn't have anything to hide and just got on with being who he was.

I've lost someone close to his form of cancer. It is a very unpleasant way to go. When I read some of the comments in this thread from Liet, among others, I was very, very dissapointed. What is it that is so bad at WF that some can lose the capacity for compassion or that simple sense of humanity? WF is just words on a screen. It's bullshit psuedo-politics and hot air. It's not worth developing hatred over. Sokar has my sympathy for what was a pretty shitty way to go out, and all too early as well. I wouldn't wish it on any of you.
