Oh hell no! This guy lost his bid for Senate after PA ran him and rhetoric out of office. There is no way he can be POTUS.

When are these extreme partisans going to understand that AMERICA is a CENTRIST country?

Seriously, if Rick Santorum is the Republican nominee, even I may have to become an Obama supporter. :jayzus:

Not to defend every remark someone can dredge up from the guy but, as a point of order, not being able to win in PA /= not being able to win the presidency.

(and he DID get elected in PA in the first place after all)

Rick "The frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex" Santorum is a douche.

He's a useless or even dangerous product that can only exist because it's possible to take advantage of people's irrational fears of girlie parts?

    Actually, yeah, I guess he is . . .

Look I admit, the guy exists outside my realm of far-rightness, but as this country seems to be on a swing-set going from extreme to extreme, anything is possible, but I don't think Santorum would get the nomination. He doesn't look the part. Looks matter at the national elections. And Santorum does not look presidential. I mean, quite honestly, he looks and talks like a dweeb. As painful as this may be for him, he needs a queer eye make-over. His hair for instance, it's so BIG for his little head. The guy reminds me of Bert from Sesame Street.

    Time to go. 24's on.

That, along with Google, is exactly why he'll never be President.

Not enough of a novelty to defeat the sort-of-God community organizer.

The GOP has to run a black female, wheelchair-bound quadriplegic, lesbian with a dead baby fetus attached to her head or they're doomed.

    Doomed I say.

I'm not so sure. I do think they're hinging on a female behind the scenes though which is why Sarah Palin is still in the limelight. However, she's gotta get CAUGHT UP on affairs to be a worthy adversary. Nevertheless, Obama has pissed so many off, and if he doesn't get this healthcare bill (hell IF he gets the healthcare bill), he may literally have no good accomplishments besides Haitian relief to show us next election.

This could actually be a stroke of brilliance. Pair him up with Sarah Palin (whoever does best in the primaries gets the top of the ticket) and just the campaign ads will make Obama voters' heads explode, "Scanners" style.

Yeah, but I'd much rather see a Frist/Palin administration than a Santorum/Palin administration. Frist has alot of accomplishments to show, and humanitarian aid to show us as well. Hell he's down performing emergency surgery in Haiti right now to assist in the relief efforts. Serious stuff like that goes a long way with people... especially people who distrust the government--most of us.

I mentioned him a time or two back around the beginning of 2008 but I haven't thought of Frist in a while, but (despite some questionable choices while SML) he really has the White Knight bit down pat.

If he wants it, I could see him being a very very good choice to be the Anti-O candidate.

the guy who has actually done serious stuff against the pretty boy.

Yes. It was on the news right after 24. He was talking to reporter in a Haitian hospital wearing his scrubs about the lack of doctors and need for more surgeons to help with the wounded.

He may "work" in that cave we call the Capitol Building with those rattlesnakes, but that guy is a real human being. Quite an oddity actually. I read on wikipedia though, he's planning on returning to medical practice after his term expires, but I'd love to have the guy as president.

Must have been really out of date because Frist has been out of the Senate for several years now. 4 or 6, can't remember which.
