Romney's data driven the way visionrazer's a useful member of society, i.e. only in his own imagination but everyone else who's competent to judge the matter knows better by now. For god's sake, the idiot's campaign was "unskewing" its own internal polls, and if Romney so much as understood the concept of data that could never have happened.

The GOP loses because it couldn't court women and minorities. So what does Mittens do the first chance he gets? Blames women and minorities for not voting for him.

    They don't learn.

It appears that Romney, the former management consultant, doesn't know how to read data, but is good at making claims based on what he wants the data to say. He was surprised by the loss? Poor analysis. He thinks healthcare only matters to minority and young voters? Obviously it doesn't matter to whites, if people reLly voted for Obama only because they liked the ACA. And who says low interest student loans only matter to the young? Voters make decisions for complex reasons, and the ideas Romney presented in the conference call scream out that he doesn't get it.

This, by the way, matches pretty well the way most management consultants operate. They come in to a company, latch on to one or two big things, then push for change, even though corporations are complex entities, that can't possibly be understood by the short term consulting engagement.

Bottom line: If Romney was a better candidate, he would have won. Half the country despises Obama, the economy is in the shitter, Obamacare remains vastly unpopular, and US reputation around the world has never been lower. You had to be a serious weak sister to lose to Obama this go around- Romney managed to be that weak.

On the contrary, if Romney had been a better candidate then he'd never have had a chance to win the Republican nomination in the first place. See, e.g., Jon Huntsman, the only guy who ran for the Republican nomination on a platform involving even a tiny shred of sanity.

So, to get it on record again, I predict that they'll take the same dogshit platform, spray it with Calvin Klein, and put it in yet another shiny new box with a prettier shade of wrapping paper.
Maybe that golden holographic foil stuff.

    Basically, same prediction as '08.

    See you in '16.

Don't get cocky, kid. Bobby "the government has no business monitoring volcanoes, I preformed an exorcism on my ex-girlfriend, and I'm against stem cell research" Jindal is making noises.

Not only is Romney showcasing stupid, but is again lying his ass off. Obamacare is not free. Where does he get this idea? Especially since he (the author of Romneycare) is uniquely positioned to understand how it works.

    On another note,

Why do you hate the military and retirees?

Puhleeze. He didn't write it, he has people for that, and other people to tell him what it says. He was probably off re-reading Battlefield Earth while the whole thing was going on.

I don't. The only way we can support them is to have more makers than takers. You were never good at math, were you?

I get paid a lot of money to do math. The "takers," as you call them, are retirees, service personnel, and college students. In other words, former and future makers. It's sad that you hate them.

Boo hoo. Did the GOP not learn anything from the '04 election? Bush was even more despised than Obama is now. Kerry didn't win because the guy was as boring and passionless as all shit. Romney lost because he can't stick to a position for longer than ten seconds, and Americans saw right through the guy.

I'm not jumping for joy over another four years of Obama, but I'm not sorry Romney lost.

The economy isn't as horrible as the republican spin machine would have you believe. The US reputation was definitely lower during Bush's 2nd term. Half the county always despises the president, even in good times. Romney was an awful choice, but the republicans still don't seem to understand exactly why they are failing.

Well, we know around here. The party has been ceded to religious nuts and one-issue abortion voters. If they can ever divorce themselves from the social misfits and focus in on the fiscal stuff, there may be a chance. Personally I think it's too late in any case, but that's neither here nor there.

Agreed. I voted for him, but now I don't mind his loss as much as I did. Just take your loss like a man and quietly exit the stage. I'm glad Bobby Jindal smacked him down on that.
