Which has what to do with James Byrd? Byrd was killed by some white supremacist types several years back. He was dragged for several miles at high speed behind a pickup truck. The NAACP then used his daughter in an anti-Bush ad where she lamented about how Bush's failure to sign hate crime legislation made sure that the perpetrators wouldn't receive the justice they deserved... All while the perpetrators were on death row for Byrd's murder.
The thing it has to do with it is that every so often I get an inkling that issues don't matter to people at all. Robert Byrd's supporters are supposed to want the best for everyone and yet they still support someone like him.
