And I'm not worked up about it. On the contrary, the publicity has raised awareness. It's also fun to point and laugh at this guy's feelings of martyrdom.
You're mixing apples and oranges here. When I'm chomping down on ground beef I know they were not killed by hunting, they were raised to die with no other options. Nobody would claim that is "hunting." Hunting (especially with a bow) is the whole process of planning, logistics, mastering your weapons, improvising as weather conditions change, discipline, patience, etc.etc. Your odds of success are slim to none on any given day no matter how good you are. If my family didn't eat cellophane wrapped beef they would starve. If I hunted just to feed my family I would quit my job and hunt all day year round and illegally poach.
Thank you! I don't kill for furs (foxes and bobcats) or kill critters like possums for target practice. I hunt one animal - deer. All the effort and time involved with that, you better believe I'm eating them.
Impressive...you managed to work a "Bush teh devil" comment into the thread. Anyway...you don't have to be "steeped in gun culture" to realize you have absolutely no clue what the hell you're talking about, seriously, you just embarrassed yourself and you probably don't even know it. Also...I'm so "steeped in gun culture" that I don't have a single gun in my house. The guns I do own are sitting in storage 7,000 miles away...and the only reason I've thought about taking them out of storage is to sell most of them and save the storage costs.
Wut? I thought we went to Iraq over unproven, false allegations that Saddam Hussein was developing chemical weapons, not a machine gun.
