sorry to burst your bubble but even if you (the bad guy) has a gun aimed can you hit what you are aiming at? In other words an experienced shooter can engage a target and fire and hit said target with a quickness. Staying on target longer will not necessarily ensure a hit. And many LEO's shoot more often and with a greater sense of purpose than the average 17 year old. Maturity matters. Speaking from personal experience a 30 year old will shoot circles around an 18 year old - nearly every fucking time. Also realistic training scenarios matter - shooting from a variety of positions matters too: behind barricades, standing up, laying down, walking forward, walking backward, from a moving vehicle, etc. etc. Realistically a 17 year old with a gun drawn and engaging multiple targets is no match for a certified law enforcement officer who only has one focus - take out that one bad guy. It's a fucking cakewalk actually. I wish that's all I would have had to worry about in the sandbox.

If the bad guy has his gun drawn and is shooting at other people, you got no problem drawing.
