I used to love the Transformers. My brother sort of got me started with them. I kind of figured that was what your username was based off of.

I remember watching my brother go through all that stuff. I'm still not sure who had more fun scouting, my dad, or brother.

Turd Ferguson was already taken at TBBS when I joined, so I had to use my real name (Steve Plow).

Well, Anc & Volpone already know the story, so I guess it's time to reveal the origin...

When I started hanging out at an Internet BBS originally, I just used an old college nickname. It had some maritime connotations, and after a while I got tired of it, and started thinking about a replacement screen name. At the time, I had discovered Nautica designer clothes, and really liked them. Figured it was a decent replacement, and choose it.

The original college nickname/screen name I used? Well, it was derived based on some collegiate antics involving a large bottle of tequila and an even larger woman. So they called me the "Whaler"... :ramen:

And it turns out it was not the Squire of Gothos, but the Fop from "All Our Yesterdays."

Perfect casting for the little pissant, if you ask me. "Your betters" -! :loltears:

So Kirk ... why did you decide to go with "Pricella Chapman" this time? and what is the significance of the name?

UA's already done a rant about it.

I think it's rather endearing. Soon he'll be popping into Techforge to start a thread every time he succumbs to the latest Must Have gadget, just like in the old days.

I, for one, wish people would either prove the Kirk thing or give it a rest.

It's funny in a way because it's better than the usual arguments they used against him.

Only staff can do that definitively, and it's against the rules, as you well know.

The rest of us can only rely on circumstantial evidence, but there's enough to be convincing, if you pay attention.

The thing is, as well, that it's fucking easy to take off. A lot of my posts yesterday were on Crapatalk, but you didn't see any of this shite from me.

It's not against any rules...where did you get that? Duals are our toyboxes.

Besides, I already posted about it ages ago...there isn't definitive proof, but given the IP is in his neighborhood, the posting style is virtually the same and he knows more than a newbie should...the odds are very high it is him.

True, you did "out" him as a dual. I thought Nova was looking for more than that. My bad.

Add to that the number of new threads he starts (a KIRK characteristic), the recurrent KIRK themes (Harry Reid, etc., California politics), the mangled syntax, "Hey, look at me - I own a DROIDX!", and the "Who, meee?" when asked to admit that he's a dual and, well...

    Good. Glad he's finally back.

Seeing you drool on yourself and cluck over his mere presence is pure awesome.
