Racist bullying happens all the time in school and black kids aren't mowing down crackers left and right.

 

Because not all of these shooters have been white. Hell, the Virginia Tech shooter just off the top of my head. Or does that not count because it was at a college?

We all have to deal with smarter, more successful peers, kid. Granted, not as frequently as you do, but still - most of us can get by without wanting to shoot them. If you feel you can't, turn yourself in before this shit escalates.

It is interesting an rdevealing that so many FB posters are more interested in trying to discredit and dismiss the protesters instead of coming up with their own counter arguments. It's really no wonder there's no dialogue. When anyone who doesn't think that giving everybody in the whole fucking country a gun is labeled a leftist gun grabber it really doesn't leave any room for serious discussion.

Yeah, but I don't think anyone would argue most shootings in general aren't perpetrated by men.

 

There's a rather silly argument going on in my corner of FB that "men are toxic." The push-back is "No, some men have developed toxic attitudes for a number of complex reasons, but being male isn't the qualifier." Some of us are mentioning men who are anything but toxic. First one to come up was Mister Rogers, followed by Leonard Nimoy. Can't exactly see either of 'em even owning a weapon (well, except in those cowboy flicks Nimoy did early in his career), much less using one, can you?

 

That's bizarre.

 

I wonder why it goes as far back as 1982... I'd more interested in seeing how it breaks down post-Columbine.

 

Not that extreme, but sounds like it could be based on Bob Ross who was in the air force for many years and adopted his soft spoken speaking patterns as a way of drawing a line under that experience.

As for the "why can't kids just be nicer to everyone" approach, no-one is buying it because those now pushing it as a solution are generally the same ones who for years have been complaining that kids need to harden up and that safe spaces and trigger warnings are liberal nonsense.
