Shit like this that makes secession attractive. Trump, do you want us to be Pacifica? Cause this is how you get Pacifica.
I believe if I was in Oregon's Congressional Delegation, I would be, very publicly, standing in the North Portico to the White House until I had some answers.
Uh... Hopefully the media will start looking into this. Because if these guys really are federally deputized mercenaries then HOLY FUCK THIS IS BAD! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=140292321042143&id=108321614239214
Yeah, stupid liberals whining about people people being kidnapped by mercenaries when we have real problems, like people in states with Democrat governors being forced to wear masks in public!
Just want to point out that I haven’t seen any confirmed report these goons are mercenaries. Right now it is just people on FB saying it and we all know how reliable that can be. Hopefully the media is investigating and can give us answers on who these kidnappers really are.
Performance art? Protestors staging their own "abductions" to retain media attention? Just spitballing here.
Just trying to wrap my head around this - it does say "POLICE" on their uniforms in this video, but the assertion is these guys aren't Portland PD but rather some independent mercs posing as cops? I mean they do jam him into a van and not a cop car which is pretty fucked If true that's pretty wild, but need more information
https://www.oregonlive.com/portland/2020/07/tear-gas-deployed-as-federal-officers-disperse-protesters-overnight-in-downtown-portland.html Nothing about who the goons actually are but some good context for the situation.
In the video from the OP these guys do not announce themselves as cops, nor do they follow proper arrest procedure. And they're in military uniform. We don't do shit like this in the US.
So now we're getting our news from Twitter and Facebook? Anyone have a reputable news source on this?
Anyone want to guess how long it is before WAB starts complaining about MAOHS avatar? He's already gone for steve's anti-Twitter schtick, so I'm assuming the other can't be far behind.
Jesus H. Christ. Talk about jumping to conclusions. I ask a simple question (which @Ancalagon only partially answered with an article that doesn't mention anything about "kidnappings") and suddenly I'm anti-Twitter? If this is true, it's a BIG. FUCKING. DEAL. Major national news outlets would be running the story and I haven't seen anything except on social media. Look, I'm quite obviously no fan of Trump but I also have a healthy skepticism of pretty much everything on the internet.
