The most unexpected developpement probably concerns Shep who became Nova, and the whole backstory to that. There are some threads about it here and there, but they're kind of old. You'll have to look them up if you want the details.

I lived in Hawaii for a couple years, came back, found my dream job, lost it, bought a house, and some other stuff. There was a huge dustup when you guys got banned. Then just about the time that was dying down I got in a fight with TKO over a thread I started, teasing her that created another huge shitstorm. Lanzman got the board from Elwood and around the time everything started to die down, efforts to get Hood unbanned created another shitstorm that led to a brief boycott/jump over to TrollKingdom. This, in turn, led to Hood (and all WF political prisoners) being unbanned. Currently the only two people perma-banned are the first two owners of the board. Anyway, Hood's return meant thelurker, or whatever her name was at the time, left in protest. Then the board shit the bed and we lost, like three months of history--to the last Elwood backup--which reinstated all the bans. Apparently you're back now. Kirk returned--first as "Priscilla Chapman" and then when he was outed he went back to being K1A. Phantomofthenet came back as Dr. Manhattan, was eventually outed, but continues to pretend he is not potn. Oh, and Shepherd decided he was really a woman, insists on being referred to in the feminine, and changed her username to "Nova". And no, I'm not making that last bit up. Oh, and TKO may or may not have gotten laid. And Anna joined the Navy. Ancalagon joined the Army. Whoops, I actually missed quite a bit. Jumping back to the middle of the whole brouhaha, Storm was posting less and less but at one point got into a dustup with gul and hinted that he would reveal IRL info about him. Gul left. Storm has pretty much left. MAOHS brought in a friend named Apostle. We couldn't decide if he was a dual, a troll, or something else. Apostle got in hot water by Tamar-ing Mewa's IRL info, then while he was on probation he inadvertently discovered Storm's IRL info. And Tasvir finally got a second arm. Actually two arms. He is apparently married. Some people left. Some other people came. Pretty much everything has been settled, so 90% of threads quickly devolve into monkey poop throwing fights. Tamar's health hasn't been good, and that guy that we thought might be Jeriko found out he had terminal cancer. He may still be hanging on, but I don't think we've heard from him in awhile . Captain Chewbacca found out he contracted terminal cancer on his job but through a settlement got experimental therapy that seems to (knock on wood) have licked it . Techman had a heart attack and died . That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Lanzman revealed that he is nothing at all like the Wizard of Oz. His city is teal-colored, not emerald. And we have more goddamned smilies than you can shake a stick at. If you need a smilie for some occasion, we have it. Of course you can't find it because there are so fucking many of them, but it's there somewhere.
Actually, I didn't discover Storm's identity. I posted an article I found on 1911forums.com, and then everyone was all like, "Oh no! You posted Storm's identity!" I had no clue, but apparently I didn't out him since everyone but me knew.
Off the top of my head: Henryhill became Rickdeckard but remained as stupid. Actually, he may have deteriorated. Actormike and 14thDoctor are still arseholes. Cass got banned. Anna converted to conservatism and joined the navy. Techman died. The missmanners thread is still around. Someone came out but I can't remember who. I'll think of more after a while...
Not entirely true. Borgs, Cassandra and Ted are permabanned. But there is hope for Cass if she wants to come back. The other two...not so much.
