The jump to the Republican party happened many decades later, when the Democrat party became the hippy liberal communist anti-war party and purged itself of centrist or conservative pro-defense Democrats. Southerners can't stand hippies and appeaseniks. It's a cultural thing. White students at SEC schools are not like students in the northeast or western schools. The victimhood culture hasn't taken hold there because the soil isn't fertile.

LBJ signed it into law because of politics. Not because he actually gave a damn about blacks. The man was highly racist. He voted against anti-lynching laws. He voted against repealing poll tax laws.

LBJ was more interested in the continuation of the progressive agenda (War on Poverty) then he was in the care of black America. Black Americans were simply a tool to be used for voting.

LBJ's policies have destroyed black America by getting Black America dependent on the government.

The Democrats never switched on the racism angle. They were and still are the party of racists. It's just they are very subtle about it now.

But as I mentioned in another thread, my family is finally waking up and without any nagging on my end cause I've learned trying to get my mom to see reason and logic is like getting the truth from Gtardo, she told me she was voting for Johnson. So are a few others in my family, because the funny thing about BLM is that it opened the lid on Pandora's box and the bloom has fallen off the Clinton family rose for a lot a folks that can see their comments from back in the day.

And this is why third party candidates need to start truly stumping a reaching out to their communities. There's a niche market for minorities that support conservative ideals without the exclusiveness of the GOP and the elitist snobbery of the Dems.

The Republicans were trying to pass such bills all the time, but LBJ kept killing them in the Senate. Whether he became President because Kennedy died or had just died himself, the bill would have soon passed anyway because blacks were fed up with Jim Crow and were doing something about it. However, had the Republicans been in charge blacks wouldn't have got all the nefariously written welfare perks that destroyed black families. Johnson did that so he'd be thanked for more than getting his boot off their necks.

And Trump is the backlash against the exclusiveness of the GOP. Throughout the primaries the GOP establishment were expressing extreme disdain and hatred for the ignorant inbred rednecks who kept choosing Trump over Jeb! or Kasich. He's the one that shattered the barriers to allowing Jews and blacks to enter Palm Beach country clubs no matter how much money they had. The Palm Beach elites saw him as a crass, uncouth trouble-maker from New York, but he wouldn't quit fighting. He filed lawsuit after lawsuit and wasn't a bit reluctant to offend the living fuck out of them, calling them out in public for their bigotry. He didn't sit around waiting to hear what proper people thought (which is what all the liberals now do) because he knew what proper people thought, and he didn't agree.

You seem to be forgetting something of history here. Otherwise, you'd know about the anti-German sentiment that reached its height during WWI and never really went away leading into WWII. Hell, my state came close to changing the name of its capitol because of it.

The anti German sentiments isn't even touched upon here in California, although I can't say I'm surprised by it. But again, it was far easier for a German to change his name and hide his heritage than a Japanese.

The parties never flipped. The Democrats gleefully destroyed the black family in their quest for racial absolution for sending ships to Africa to import slaves that Democrats could buy. Republicans got fed up with that and Democrats thought Republicans might put a stop to their race-based slaver thing, so the Democrats seceded from the United States and declared war on it by pounding the fuck out of American bases. They lost. for a host of reasons, mainly reflecting that Democrats suck at war without people who have management skills beyond whipping or berating slaves for disobedience. Hillary is still stuck at that level. After the war the Democrats stayed committed to absolute racial superiority, and they've never renounced what they did to maintain their system.

BTW if you tried to join the US army at the recruiting office and said anything anti-muslim (especially saying you want to kill muslims) you would be shown the door. The US army is all about cultural awareness & equal opportunity & consideration of others, etc.etc.etc. They don't allow ticking time bombs of rage.......unless they are muslim of course, then everything's kosher!

For a bit of local news which is currently getting air time on all the local stations a 21 year old Iraqi assylum seeker was arrested after attempting to abduct a 23 year old college student who was out for her morning jog in University City (the area next to both ucsd and
La Jolla near where I grew up). The animal apparently drove around until he saw a victim then pulled up next to the jogging woman and tried to use a taser gun on her while trying to drag her into his car. Fortunately, the young woman had studied martial arts and was able to defend herself.
