    Idiot alert!

    Link

    For those curious:

    Sheba Inu-

    Coyote-

The muzzle, haunches, tail, and ears are all different. Other than that, its an easy mistake to make. :wtf:

    Good freaking Lord.

If they had said "Wolf" I might have bought the excuse

Some people just need to be beaten with rubber batons.

Nah, wolves don't curl their tails up like that either.

Around here we have coyotes, and the biggest difference between coyotes and domestic dogs is coyotes don't want to hang out with you. They are shy scavengers, who given the chance will flee. Moreover there are few domestic dogs that could be confused for a coyote, I'd include Sheba Inu in that category.

WTF? That dog looks nothing like a coyote.
And everyone knows a coyote is virtually impossible to domesticate (unlike wolves). No possible way in hell a coyote would cooperate with a human for a second. I would sue the living piss out of those responsible, then donate every last dime to a wildlife foundation.

And I would force the guy taking it to wear a duncecap in public for a month. BTW I have a quick class for him - try to differentiate:

I'd sue them and then take a field trip to Amsterdam. :bong:

Way back in the day the Air Force parkas had real coyote fur lined hoods!
Eventually they went to synthetic (fake) fur trim, which isn't worth a crap. Now coyotes are running rampant in almost all 50 States, and are a nuisance in many places.

The AF needs to start making real coyote fur parkas again, so predator hunters can keep the coyote population somewhat in check.

They're a nuisance here. I think Virginia was offering bounties on them at one time.

How the fuck can some see a dog in a fenced-in private yard, think it's a coyote, break in to a private yard, take the animal, and think they've done something right?!?!

This should at LEAST generate a law suit, and at the most a public execution. You don't fuck with peoples' pets!

Right? If it's IN SOMEONE'S FENCED YARD it doesn't need to be wearing its collar and tags.

IT DIDN'T HAVE A COLLAR. Part of the blame is on the owner for not getting a collar for their dog. My cat is an indoor cat and he has a collar just in case he escapes.

Also I think the dog escaped. I don't think someone broke into the house to take the dog to an animal shelter for the animal shelter to say "oshit it's a coyote."

Yeah, I think you're right about it escaping. I misread the article on that.
But holy, shit, wildlife experts thought it was a coyote? That's just... stupid!
