You keep repeating that as if it proves some kind of point, it doesn’t. I gave several examples of how it can be seen in a museum.
I’m not sure who came up with the Sovereign class, but a lot of Sfax guys who worked on TNG are coming back.
FFS, @Federal Farmer, it's not the E-D that would be seen in a museum, given it was completely destroyed in Generations. Everyone knows it'd be the Yamato
The ENT-D saucer was beyond repair. It would have been dismantled into scrap, and recycled. Especially to keep the industrial civilization in the Veridian system from ever finding it, and fucking up the Prime Directive. Bits and bobs would have been kept for trophies. Like all of Picard's office knick-knacks. Other than that, she's gone.
Because Viagra has been the standard treatment for ED since the mid-90s. One can only assume that by the 24th Century, things have only gotten better in regards to such.
Maybe they will have an ornament of the E-D and put it on a Christmas tree. And then put that Christmas tree in a space museum!
Welcome to @Federal Farmer's museum of starships, including the original U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, the U.S.S. Defiant and the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D:
Background art for the show does say that the Saucer was taken from the planets surface and put in a museum. Shouldn't be any rights issues, the only reason Sovvys didn't appear in DS9 or VOY was that they wanted to keep it uniquely for the film's, along with the fact they knew some viewers would automatically assume that any Sovereign onscreen was the Enterprise.
So information doesn't need to be onscreen in order to count for you? If half the plot of the next Abrams movie is explained in tie-in comics, that's okay now?
Actually, I don't think that would've been in newspapers at all. Most likely classified top secret if it ever did happen.
Raffi? Hell, Rios, dude! question is will Theresa turn out to be his grandmother or will they Edith Keeler her?
Picard S02E06 Credits: * Dr. Agnes Jurati Benatar, never out of touch being a heartbreaker while belting it out, making promises in the dark like love was a battlefield, giving our heroes precious time, and never wanting to leave. Debits: * Too short. Much too short. Ruminations: A somewhat slower paced, but enjoyable episode, focusing on getting Renee Picard to trust in herself, to believe in her abilities. A good lesson is found here: fear is fear. Humans often interpret it as a harbinger, or maybe even as a gentle reminder, that it comes from a good place, but ultimately fear is simply fear, and our brains interpret its meaning based on our knowledge or lack thereof. Alison Pill can sing, damn. Love that scene, and she easily stole the spotlight for that scene. On that same note, I love Annie Hersching's absolute indulgence in her role as the Borg Queen. She is a delight. That said, while they keep lampshading that Jurati is the future Borg Queen, I have a niggling suspicion that we're being lead down the primrose path, and it's not who we think it is, or at least not who I think it is. Only time will tell. Oh, and that ending where she's walking away from the camera, and heading what seems to be further into the city? Foreboding much. All in all, solid episode, enjoyed it, and I can't wait to see how all of this ultimately resolves itself. This one gets an 8/10. I'd have given it a 9, but at 38 minutes, it loses a point. Come on, folks, give us another 10 minutes at least. Have Alison sing the best of Pat Benatar. She's seriously good.
Maybe I was in a grumpy/slow-on-the-uptake mood this morning but I wasn't as psyched about this one as I had been most of this season. 1. While I appreciate Agnes singing a jazzy version of Pat Benatar and looking great in the process as much as the next hetero guy, it doesn't make sense as a "distraction." Also, trying to arrange for the number had to be coordinated with the band somehow to make sense, and there's not really a reasonable way for her to have done that either spontaneously or as part of a plan. 2. I'm not sure how/why Renee and Picard were outside for Soong to hit them with the car, how Soong would have known where to find them, why he would have resorted to murder to stop Renee Picard as opposed to the numerous other means a rich genius would have at his disposal, or why Soong didn't just finish the job and kill/cripple Renee other than "well, because that's what we need to have happen for the plot to progress." 3. Agnes not saying, "Hey guys, I've got the Borg Queen in my head and she's trying to seduce me" is a somewhat of an idiot plot, as is nobody wondering about the BQ. But I guess we can chalk the first part to the BQ having compromised enough of Agnes's intelligence for her to exercise rational precautions. I forget which, if any, of our heroes know that Agnes supposedly shot and killed the BQ, but I assume either some do. If they know that she was shot, one would think that they would be like "Are we sure she's dead? Also, are we screwed to get home?" Also, if they think the BQ is OK, they probably should be like, "Leaving the BQ alone with the ship is a bad, bad idea. We really don't need every single person to execute the Watch Renee plan. Let's have someone keep watch over BQ to make sure she doesn't do anything crazy." 4. I get that they want to bring back Dr. Teresa, but sorry, Rios, a 24th century biobed and a holodoctor (which his ship has, no?) is probably way better for Picard's chances than a 21st century doctor with 21st century equipment.
hmm.. actually, no.. they're gonna bring Theresa and her kid back to the future and records will show they disappeared during the Bell uprisings, never to be heard from again after the clinic was firebombed.
I was thinking about the first one too. Even if the band knew the song, they probably weren't expecting this singer out of nowhere. The only way I made sense of it is the band picked up on the song, maybe the bass player told them what key it was in then just went went it to keep the audience from panicking or something. If she was just going to jump in and start singing, then there should have been some verbal communication as to what key to play in, we've seen this trope before in movies. All other points I agree with, especially why they couldn't take Picard back to the ship, what was the reason?Another thing I wanted to bring up was A) Soong's daughter has never googled her dad, ever? Come on. B) Soong sure did make these illegal experiments really easy to access on his computer. Lastly, nobody seems to remember Seven and the Voyager crew interacted with Q as well, Seven doesn't even seem to remember this either.
