I really have no desire to see Moriarty again. But, I have seen a few memes on facebook about him. Is this an episode that aired somewhere? or is it in discussions somewhere?
Two episodes, season 2 and season 6. Elementary, Dear Data and Ship In A Bottle. If you mean why are we talking about him here (your post implies you've seen those eps, so I'm confused as to what you're asking) then he's in the latest trailer for PIC season 3.
I think it's the Odyssey class Enterprise-F, from Star Trek online. If memory serves, some private designer submitted it and won a contest to get it in game. I wonder if that person will get paid for this..
Of course, the game has already changed the E-F to a refit version because the Odyssey is a Tier 5 ship and they want folk to buy T6 ships, so she's now the Yorktown refit.
Yea, when I said "I've no desire to see him again", I meant that I assumed that storyline closed with the season 6 episode Ship In A Bottle. My question, then, is "has there recently been and episode in Picard or Lower Decks with that storyline? or is there rumors that there will be an upcoming episode in Picard or Lower Decks with that storyline?" I didn't realize the question was that ambiguous. This is the information for which I was looking. Thanks.
I mean, Picard led the evacuation fleet for the Romulans with a non-Enterprise ship (that doesn't spring to mind), so I'm assuming in spite of the refit it got after "Nemesis" it got de-commissioned.
See, I didn't realize "hadn't kept up with the obviously very spoilery thread" was likely until you did it. Y'know, since the trailer in question was posted right here, not a page-worth upthread of your comment.
My assumption had been that Picard really wanted to lead the Romulan mission, and that Starfleet finally got him off the Enterprise by telling him that the Verity was already scheduled to lead the mission but still needed an Admiral to command it.
I'm guessing the opposite. Lore goes crazy as usual, and Moriarty is brought in to help defeat him (since he was capable of defeating Data, and Lore is pretty much the same as Data).
Depends whether the computer expected "able to defeat Data" to include the fact that Data has an ethical subroutine and Lore... really doesn't.
All Moriarty did to defeat Data was take control of the ship draw a picture. That's wrong too. The picture so bamboozled Geordi, Data didn't even get an opportunity to derail Moriarty's plan - whatever that was. The entire story was such bullshit that in my opinion, it's one of the absolute worst stories in TNG. What I'd like to see, in Fisherman's Worf's scenario would be an actual Holmes-like mystery. Either Lore or Moriarty could be the bad guy but one has to foil the other's plan.
I always assumed the computer set aside enough of its memory to make/equal a brain bigger and faster than Data's. Enough memory to double Data's brain capacity simulating a brain becomes a brain. I took that as the software that made up Moriarty was accessing the computer, and the picture drawing was the manifestation of that. Both conscious and unconscious, like when they entered Data's dream.
Well, I can't say I'm not glad Geordi has finally scored, at least. Even Harry Kim got laid more than he did.
They established back in TNG that both Data and the android version of his mother had "aging programs," so it stands to reason Lore would have one too.
Legacy characters from Voyager and DS9 besides Worf and Seven will pop up, and season 3 will tie up Voyager and DS9 as well as TNG. https://trekmovie.com/2022/11/28/st...ation-of-voyager-and-ds9-too-says-showrunner/
