I saw some of those bonkers “reviews” ranking the new show against the pilots from the others. What’s strange and unhelpful way to say how the episode (or apparently three episodes they were permitted to watch) was. Also, I can’t remember Enterprise’s pilot. So it must be bad.
Up until this point, isn't Admiral Janeway the only crew member we've seen in "official canon"? (I could be wrong, mainly because I don't care enough.) I say they find cool and fun ways to show how all the Voyager command staff died horribly in the ensuing years since their return.
Perhaps she fully assimilated him into her vagina as is using his tissues to keep herself looking young.
Technically, you could the say the same thing about anyone who’s used a transporter. They’re not the same person who stepped into it.
Doc Zimmerman, the Holodoc's creator, was on DS9. Not an insignificant episode either, it was the one we found out Julian was an augment.
Guinan is going to be back for season 2. Patrick Stewart just invited Whoopi on The View and she accepted.
I wonder if they'll do the same uncanny valley CGI to Whoopi like they did with Brent Spiner. Keep in mind that she looked exactly the same in the 19th century as she did in the 24th century. So 20 years is nothing to her, but the actress has aged quite a bit.
Yay, let's inject more leftist talking points on the modern day into a show about the future and let's also ruin her character as well!
1982 Micheal Yeoh is better at acting then stewart remember some earlier tng seasons soo I am more interested in a section 31 series cause of that. Really liked that scene were she was eating that apple Dayton is a serial killler he will target me now!
Well, the reviewer for the WB owned Entertainment Weekly hates it. https://ew.com/tv-reviews/2020/01/23/star-trek-picard-review/
Remember the days when you could enjoy Star Trek and Star Wars without having to bring politics into the mix? I 'member. Those were happier days. I also remember the original Star Trek being a bastion of "left-wing" ideology at the time, promoting crazy-ass concepts like racial equality and the fight against fascism.
It's not a Star Trek, but it was a very interesting show set in that universe and I'm looking forward to seeing it explored more. Edit: not a Star Trek as in it definitely isn't trying to be more TNG, that's not a bad thing.
i09's spoiler-laden review is pretty positive. I will say that based on it, they've borrowed heavily from another SF universe for elements of the story. The review doesn't mention any overt nods to this, but it leaves me wondering if there's not something in the background to serve as a bit of a wink.
