Saw this in Twitter earlier this week, and about a minute into this, Levar Burton makes some news here.... that makes me considerably less enthused about Season 2.
Kind of. The "official" prequel comics for ST09 had stuff like Picard serving as ambassador to Vulcan and Data taking over B4's body to become captain of the Enterprise. But for big picture stuff, absolutely.
That looks a hell of a lot like Lore's banners from TNG's Descent. Maybe either Lore is back, or in an alternate universe where Picard didn't exist/died/is still Locutus and Lore took over the Federation? Also, Picard did Wolf 359, polaron beams can't melt duranium. Those were controlled explosions on the USS Saratoga planned by the Federation in cooperation with foreign wormhole aliens. Wake up, Inkarian sheeple.
John Delancie says he's shot 6 episodes worth of Q, and that they're doing season 2 and 3 back to back, so Q might be spread out over 2 seasons. https://trekmovie.com/2021/04/30/jo...h-of-a-very-different-q-for-star-trek-picard/
Well if Goldsman is to be believed that they planned everything this time, then that would make the most sense. Stewart's not getting any younger so they probably want to tell one cohesive story that gives a solid ending for Picard and ends at the end of season 3. They can spread the story out over twenty episodes. I think it also gives them a little bit of wiggle room in case they decide to bring in more TNG cast members once things get back to normal.
After Picard ends, I want a Seven Of Nine "Fenris Rangers" show. She can carry the torch of having TNG/DS9/VOY guest stars, but you don't have to worry about Stewart's health anymore.
The Federation flag resembles Nazi flags, the Nazis of Star Trek is the mirrorverse, Q is involved in season 2, Q might be taking Picard through a Tapestry type situation, therefore this might be a mirrorverse or future where Picard died and this, for some reason, the Federation went all Nazi.
Yep, and it can't be the conventional mirrorverse by the PIC timeframe, cuz the Terran empire was destroyed by the time of DS9. Gotta be a third timeline. Well, fourth counting Kelvinverse.
I really wanted to see Q show up in Picard's bed, Picard wakes up and starts asking what's going, what's he doing there, Q says that the trial never ended, and that Picard and humanity are still being tested. Then looks over at Picard's dog Number One, and says "Oh, I suppose it's been long enough", snaps his fingers and Number One changes into Riker.
Not to mention that Jeri Ryan is a fantastic actor and always has been one of "modern Trek's" best. Sign me up for that as well.
When IDW did a couple mirror universe TNG miniseries, they opened with Picard as captain of the ISS Stargazer, and the Terran Empire still existing as a tiny fraction of it's former self.
