hmm So figuring that they'd launch Ahsoka with the search for Ezra with sidekick Sabine, what do we get to support that story? Chopper and Hera, obviously. And with them, a force sensitive Jacen Syndulla. Jason Isaacs wants to still be involved, and he'd be great as Thrawn since the Grand Inquisitor is dead. By the end of S1, we've got a rebuilt Ghost crew, serious overlap with the Mandalorian and Sabine and baby Yoda, and Ahsoka as the most fully trained Jedi in the galaxy... I can't see how she wouldn't be teaching (with force ghost Yoda helping out).
Timothy Olyphant plays a guy from the novels who bought Boba-Fett's armor off of Jawa's who looted Jabba's sail barge. So, real Boba's gonna want his suit back. This'll be interesting. https://www.comicbookmovie.com/tv/s...-and-hell-be-wearing-boba-fetts-armor-a175451
Mandalorian season 2 starts October 30. And new key-art with Baby Yoda finally on it. Remember, last time he was so secret, he wasn't even on the final poster.
God I wish the sequel trilogy would have been given to John Favrea and Dave Feloni. I'm assuming that Mando will find out a little background about the Jedi and the Mandalorians. I'm thinking the Rebel Alliance/ New Republic will assist Mando or maybe Luke has found out about baby Yoda and wants to learn more about him. Looks amazing though.
The Mandos must have lost a SHITLOAD of their history if all they remember of the Jedi is "ancient sorcerers". They had help from Jedi AFTER Order 66 (Or just before if Disney are ignoring Rebels). Even despite Palpatine's efforts to dismiss the Force as a religious myth to the rank and file, people on the Fringe like Jabba never forgot the Jedi or what they could do. Hell, in the time period this is set, Luke's legend should be all over the damn place in Rebel/New Republic propaganda. See, FF? You can nitpick and not need a Youtuber to back you up on it.
The way I've always looked at is that most people don't really encounter Jedi. The higher ups do and sometimes a farmer or something, but most people just dismiss it as myth. Then the Empire comes along and calls them all traders and purges most records of their existence. This group of Mandalorians seems to be different from the ones we saw in Clone Wars and they live out in the outer rim so it could be that they are long detached from their brethren. I agree though that Luke's legend should be everywhere.
There were probably about 1 Jedi for every 10,000,000 normal citizens of the Republic at the height of the Jedi Order, so yeah, the overwhelming majority of folks have never so much as set eyes on a Jedi.
True, but they would have heard reports about the Clone Wars. And Palpatine explicitly went on air to declare that the Jedi tried to kill him as part of his rationale for seizing power. I've never set eyes on Donald Trump in person, but you can bet I know who the fuck he is.
There was a time when Navy Seals was super secret and people had kind of heard of them. Same with Area 51.
Yeah, but the Jedi were never really "secret". Just rare. I bet most people in the Republic had at least heard of the Jedi, but probably a lot of people who'd never seen one before figured they were made up.
umm... when were the SEALs or their precursor UDTs "super secret"? Now if you wanna contrast the clones to them, or any other number of famed regiments, that might make sense. Elite, but anonymous soldiers. I know you can name at least three confederate generals without even thinking about it. Why wouldn't every school kid in the inner rim know Kenobi, Windu, or Yoda not 25 years after the fact?
To be quite honest I always figured that Palpatine engineered a lot of revisionist history in the public schools that probably didn't mention the Clone Wars or Jedi at all. Let's face it, how many Russians in 1945 knew who Stalin's political adversaries were in the 1920's? If Hitler had actually somehow won World War II, how many Europeans would really know (or believe) that there were ever any Jews in Europe?
I get what you're saying, Hitler didn't win and we already have holocaust deniers that challenge the size of the pre holocaust Jewish population to dismiss the slaughter of it... Still, we can name Goering, Rommel, or Canaris... I think you'd have to look at a higher point in history... like who were Stalin's generals at the end of the war that he'd have pinned 20 medals on personally., and who could name them in the mid 60s?
There are rumors running around that Pedro Pascal quit halfway through Season 2 and they finished the Season without him. That sounds far fetched.
No. Just the general news article scroll on my phone. Some of the sources seem... lacking in quality. But, the rumor is out there, so I thought I'd see what everyone else though.
