Is it just me or where the last two eps fookin brilliant? I'm talking about "Tao of Rodney"* and "The Game". Damn were those entertaining. Anyone else still watching? Bailey? *
I've watched, off an on...it just isn't capturing my interest like SG1 did with Anderson and the bunch.
They were entertaining episodes, could still be better though. Hoping that now SG-1 is gone (apart from the movies) we will see Atlantis rising in quality again.
I really liked "Tao of Rodney". I like the characters Zelenka and McKay, but I don't know if they're enough to keep my interest in the show.
I'm enjoying the hell out of the show. Personally I think SG-1 finally got back to being better than Atlantis right before break, with the 200 episode and the Ori arcs finally beginning to pan out. So naturally it's cancelled. But season 1 and 2 of Stargate Atlantis I'd put far ahead of Seasons 8 and 9 of SG-1. I wouldn't quite put Atlantis up there with the best scifi period, but I think it's the best space show on right now - and yes, that includes BSG, which has sucked big donkey balls for the last year. It's confirmed Carter will be doing several episodes of Atlantis next year, and I could easily see Jackson showing up there - I thought they handled him staying with SG-1 well though. Any of the SG-1 characters showing up on Atlantis will be fun, though I can't really see the reason for Teal'c to do so. Overall, I'd say Atlantis is solid, fun scifi entertainment, and I hope it will be on the air for a long time.
I would like to see that just for a scene of Ronin and Teal'c getting along really really well and basically just be laughing at obscure warrior jokes all episode. I will say that Ronin has improved a lot, now they just need to return focus to the Wraith since they were finally getting interesting in the last episode they featured. The Tao Of Rodney was a really good episode apart from the lame "oh hey you could of ascended!" line that was tagged onto the end. Still annoyed with what they did to Fords character though.
I don't know why they had to bring Ronin in, when they already had Sheal'c (Teyla). Other than that, the show isn't that bad.
The writers have been trying harder this season, I think, and it shows, there have been a few truly outstanding episodes.
