Hey all, For those who visit the board, I recently handed over the keys to Vanessa. The board is now hers to do with as she pleases, although we spoke about it and she likes how things are running right now. That doesn't preclude in the future that there might be changes. Well, I started the board as an experiment. I wanted to see if people could have a civil, congenial discussion that was open, honest and without ambiguity of any kind. I wanted to know if we could have heated debates without resorting to temper tantrums and angry outbursts. I wanted it to be a place where quieter folk like myself could go and relax. After two years, I was convinced not only was it possible, but that it was a success. There were bumps along the way, but I was satisfied with the overall results. Plus, being an Administrator, even of a small board, takes a lot of time and patience, and I wanted to devote that time to other things. I didn't want the board to go under, as it was home to quite a few people, and so I talked to Vanessa, my assistant Admin. After some time to think, she accepted and I made the changeover. I still hang around, but as an Advisor now. I offer technical assistance as well as general advice when it's needed. It's not that I think she can't do it, believe me, Vanessa is a very capable woman. It's just nice to have someone nearby if a little help is needed. Plus, I'll be around when the board upgrade occurs whenever that happens, so that I can transition the upgrade since I've been following it for months. So now the board is hers. There was no sale involved, just a simple handing over of the information required, and other than that, a fond farewell to the Mods & Admins, and I stepped down. J.
