The question here is different. The ethical/moral thing to do here is to require men and women to use their respective restrooms. If I see a tranny try to follow my kid into any restroom he's going to going to be on the business end of it, believe me. I would think stores like Target would want to avoid that outcome.
Not that there's hope for you, but for those whose ignorance is not completely incurable, let me be clear: men with feminine traits exist. Men who occasionally pretend to be women exist. Neither of those tend to have any interest in using the ladies' room. Furthermore, nobody wants to open up the ladies' room for perverts to go in for a cheeky wank. The only thing under discussion is whether people who live full time as women, and are women in every way meaningful for casual social interaction, should be barred from the ladies' room because of something you wouldn't even be able to detect if you weren't actively violating their privacy.
I would use the Walmart bathroom but the second I walk into the store they are always cleaning it! That said, the ones around me are never dirty or dangerous. Now some of the convenience stores along the freeway outside of Atlanta? Not so much.

Marriage is as valid as the society it takes place it. We wouldn't validate a marriage between a fifty year old and his 10 year old bride here. But there is no logic behind banning two consenting adults from the benefits of marriage (which is ultimately what it comes down to, and basically the reason marriage exists).
Yes and yes. Walmart is cagey enough to play coy when people ask them now specifically because the ignorant sheeple might spend a few more bucks with them. For a while. But yes, they have had the exact same policy for at least five years. So has EVERY OTHER major high traffic retailer except Hobby Lobby. If there are people shppping elsewhere, they are protesting against Target having the temerity to openly state the thing they'd been pretending not to know about all this time, or their complete ignoramuses (which...if they take AFA seriously...)
