Do I care about my reputation? Not really. I mean, it's nice to have, but it's not some kind of life or death thing. I much prefer the respect and consideration of the people on this board and have worked hard to earn that respect, and I give it in return to those who earn it. Respect is earned, not given. You seem to have wandered onto this board thinking that because you are conservative, these people are going to agree with you, and you're finding that they don't. They don't respect you. You haven't earned it, and that is more important than reputation. Reputation is just a visible indicator, not the be all end all.

I'd actually call it libertarian, technically speaking. Conservative implies Republican to my way of thinking and it definitely is not that.
Most of the posters at WF do not assume a stance of moral supremecy over people who do not share their views. They might ridicule them, call them insulting names and belittle their intelligence levels, but the fact is that most of the people here I consider decent, even though there are fewer with whom I agree philosophically than over at TNZ. Put it another way, most of the people here pass "Mike's Beer Test". As in would I enjoy having a quiet beer and maybe some politically incorrect junk food? The answer for most is yes. Unlike TLS, I do not consider people with whom I disagree philosophically to be immoral or "bad".
