The lack of intellectual curiosity in the US knows no bounds. We have a major news network stating that at no point in Donald Trump’s administration did Putin make moves on Ukraine. And the only reason he is now is because Joe Biden is weak. Completely ignoring the last two decades of Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine.

I'm a fan of neither but of the two Biden seems to be the one more likely to take military action.

Well sure, but only because Trump doesn't like war unless he wins or gets to look tough. And because all a potential enemy needs do is stroke his ego or offer him business deals or dirt on his rivals.

What are Europe's best alternatives for oil and gas outside of Russia?

The shift that's happening of Republicans basically becoming Russian bootlickers is simply astounding to watch

Not just over a decade ago they'd be leading the charge against Putin doing what he's doing now

All because they don't like who's in the White House today

One of the many reasons why these people are just the worst

That's not an option right now, given how widespread it's being used. Lives literally depend on it (food production and distribution for example)

So, what are Europe's best options outside of Russia?

    No, it's not just that.

They like that he can freely do what they have pesky laws stopping them doing. Rigging elections. Openly jailing LBGTQ+ folk. Locking up political rivals. Making oligarchs pay actual fealty instead of mediocre "lobbying" payments.

Trump wanted to be Putin. Luckily, the US is not - for all its faults - a dictatorship. Yet.

Biden’s going to do what the war machine wants him to do and it takes away focus on inflation and gets to ignore the crisis on our own border.

How lucky is Biden that Putin is in his corner and manufacturing for him the perfect distractions from inflation and a border crisis!

I wish at his news conference, Biden had simply said, "He's fucked around, and now he's going to find out." then left.
