I believe FF has said in the past that he gets a lot of his information and views from friends and family, without considering where they get their information and views from. You'd think someone with an academic background like FF would be more interested in digging down to locate the original sources of the things he believes, but apparently not.

In a post in the recession thread you alluded to an upcoming diesel shortage happening in 25 days. Coincidentally the night before Tucker Carlson had made this ‘looming shortage’ that will hit in 25 days a key point of his show.

Now, it was completely false. There was a dip in distillate reserves on hand a couple months prior but it was due to some pretty specific situations.
And for the last six weeks the distillates reserves on hand had been INCREASING.

I pressed you for months to tell me where you got the info.

Six months later you finally posted an NPR article from two months prior to Tucker’s show and your post the next day.

I ran a search and posted a screen shot showing that until Tucker talked about it there hadn’t been a news story on this ‘impending diesel crisis’ for two months (because it was a temporary trend that quickly corrected itself) and said that it was an amazing coincidence that there were no news stories for two months but you just happened to remember an NPR story from two months prior THE DAY AFTER TUCKER MADE IT THE MAIN POINT OF HIS SHOW.

Such a coincidence.
