I completely agree. Also, without guns, there'd be no gun violence. And without illegal immigration, there'd be no crime perpetrated by illegal immigrants. Oh wait... some folk only think two of those arguments are stupid.
I contend that if US flight attendants were still cute, skinny, and dressed sexy, rather than being ugly, old, bitchy shrews, that the males aboard all the airliners would have felt that surge of hormonal testosterone, a desire to protect and save the wimmins, and the terrorists with their weak ass boxcutters would have been overhwhelmed in minutes. So I guess you could say I blame ugly flight attendants for 9-11. -disclaimer- This is a parody post, motherfuckers. Don't any of you intellectually and humor challenged hosebags take it seriously. The truth is an uncontitutionally disarmed populace is to blame for 9-11.
Man. Fly JAL or KAL sometime. Hot, young, stewardesses. And none of them male. All with perfect makeup and uniforms. (And all Asian, naturally) Good food. Clean planes. I'd fly them all the time if I could. Except for one thing: The JAL flight had a channel where you could watch real-time cameras outside the plane. Looking down at the clouds was fairly cool. And I was able to play Captain Kirk, with the forward view. You could toggle between the GPS map and the forward view. It was cool. Except when we were landing. They switched on the forward view so we could watch the landing. I'd just as soon not know that much about the landing. And you think the taxi to the gate takes forever? It REALLY takes forever when you can WATCH it. You'd think it would make time go faster, but you sit there and it looks like you're just aimlessly driving around the airport. Then, as we were nearing our gate, we turned right towards what I assume was the plane that had just left our gate. You could see the heat waves off its engines as it revved up the jets. And the thing is getting bigger and bigger and bigger in our view. I'm thinking "He knows we're here, right? And our pilot knows he's there? Are we supposed to be still moving towards that thing?"
Agree. You don't see terrorists hijacking a buggy and crashing it into an Amish corn silo, now do you?
You'd never have one. The terrorists would never have contemplated 9-11 if there was a chance that a handful of passengers (or perhaps even all of them) were armed and capable of fighting back. And speaking as a pro pilot, the whole fear of depressurizing the airplane and killing everyone with a gunshot is a wheelbarrow full of bullshit. Even the mythbusters guys debunked that one.
I'd say a climate of pussification is more to blame. We're taught to just go along with terrorists and criminals until cops show up.
All dialing 911 on an airplane will get you is a sidewinder up the ass, and an audio record of it for your family.
