So at this point I think we all agree, The Obama has been a colossal failure. So nothing remains but to allocate blame. So who is to blame for giving us The Beast?
Oprah for backing him. Of course she's from Chicago so she would like and approve of him. But it's all her fault. Until she trotted him out on her stage on her show, he was way back in the polls and Hillary was the one to beat.
^ So you generalize from one drunk to a whole group of people on the basis of one example? Interesting...
Freeing slaves without forcing an education on them at the same time which led to an impoverished class of folk, and then (indirectly) 'separate but equal' and more than a century of white guilt, all of which led to us electing some piece of shit neophyte politican with less experience or background than a sarah palin, just because his skin was slightly black and he didn't speak like an illiterate. So, blame white guilt, and blame the Republicans of Lincoln's era, with a half-assed fix.
I think it was the mass societal high brought on by finally FINALLY having a black presidential candiate (hey, I've been hoping for one since I was a teenager). I think a lot of votes happened just because of that, without stopping to find out if he was the right black presidential candidate. Like I said before, we need someone who acts like Morgan Freeman, not a Wayans Brother.
Even the Wayans Brother's would be better then him. They would be funny and yet in the end everything would work out good. With Obama no ones happy and you know the ending is going to suck.
The Democrats for running him, the Republicans for running McCain, and all you fuckers who voted for eight years of that malignant tumor, George W. Bush.
I blame the political system of this country which ignores all but two parties and the continuing expansion of the ideological gap between those two parties.
Obama could take a collossal crap in the floor and a couple here would see The Virgin Mary in it. Tuttle was closest though, this shit started long ago.
I'll tell you exactly who's to blame: we ALL are. We're the ones who kept voting these clowns in. We're the ones who couldn't think outside the box and limited ourselves to candidates who only had a D or an R after their names. We're the ones who whittled down our liberties in the names of all our little pet causes. We're the ones who thought government intervention was the solution to our problems. We're the ones who sat back on our blessed assurance and let this bullshit build up for the last 145 years until it blew up in our faces. It remains to be seen if we'll have the balls to say "Enough!", take a real interest in our liberty and government, and do something about it.
Did you personally do those things? Because it sounds like you didn't and that you're blaming everyone else and declaring that they should follow your example and your principles.
Liet, I think your new avatar has just sealed the deal on your ticket to Hell, but I agree with what you said. Bush spent the better part of six years doing bullshit in Iraq when all our attention should have been concentrated in Pakistan and Afghanistan, McCain was a joke, with no chance- everyone knew that deep down, and your party chose a dumbass over teh Hildabeast.
Plenty of blame to go around, but mostly I blame the media for giving Obama a free ride to the Presidency. Easily the least vetted politician in the last hundred years or so.
Not really....we just kicked their ass and declared our independence (not neccessarily in that order). What someone gives you they can take away.
