Sounds about right. The Brits actually seem to be ahead of us Yanks in the "ball busting common citizens for the sake of the fringe" arena.
I did not know that detaining people in this manner was legal in Britain. I'm glad I have the bill of rights, and hope that we may we avoid this pitfall. Is there any type of backlash over this in the UK?
Well, I'm not sure to believe this guys account. This group, like others that MF likes, sounds pretty far-right.
He posted an article. To disprove something, you have to do more than just say "Oh, one of those people said it." Or it's racist, or something.
Ah. So then, reading the few things you have said, you simply ignore what was said, and its implications, because it makes you feel uncomfortable.
It doesn't make me uncomfortable to think that the UK police are heavy-handed thugs who often abuse their power. I know that they are. I just question the reliability of the source. It is unfortunate for you that you're not able to grasp that.
The source claims that what happened took place in front of a large number of people. If it is inaccurate , it should not be difficult to find something to prove that. Further, what I'm saying is not something that is unreasonable or extreme. This isn't a 9/11 conspiracy theory by any means, and me saying that there should be something to disprove the article doesn't make me an idiot, a fool, or someone who is unable to grasp your point of view. It would appear that we simply disagree. In that we have a disagreement , without me being a jerk or in anyway inconsiderate.
