I am salaried. And I work 40 hours. Period.

I do, although, at times get a phone call after hours or on weekends. But, generally, for an hour or so of work, I am rewarded with an “Excellence Award”. And depending on the person requesting my after hours knowledge and ability, that reward can be $25, $50, $200, or $500. And, honestly, dealing with people who screwed everything up is worse than the work itself. But, more often than not, the work is a matter of finding which field has an incorrect value and fixing it.

Well, that was my old job.

The new job is just reconciling an invoice with the contract and saying “ok to pay”.
