Why do you constantly bitch and moan about this? Why do you continually claim that I'm not willing to do any "real work"? I've worked hard virtually all of my adult life.

How long did you go between teaching jobs a while back? A year? Did you have a job doing something other than teaching, or did you just stay at home and look for another teaching job?

When the economy cratered in '08 and I was laid off from my job as a machinist, it took me four months to find another job. During that time I wasn't looking strictly for machining jobs, or jobs in the metalworking trades (because there weren't very many). I was looking for any job that paid more than unemployment. Didn't care what it was, only cared that it paid more than unemployment (which was a jaw-dropping $256/week, so basically anything that was minimum wage and offered more than 20 hours a week), I filled out an application for it if I thought that I was remotely qualified for the job.

If you despised Trump as much as you claim you do, then any Republican (at the very least) who ran against him should be enough to get you to actively support the challenger. But it's not. You're like a little kid who claims to be hungry but turns their nose up at anything suggested to them. If the kid was really hungry, they'd take at least a small amount of something until something came along that was more to their liking.

Oh yeah? Well, I sent a letter to Barack Obama urging him to read from a teleprompter. Later I sent another letter in which I suggested that he fist his wife in public. Apparently he thought I meant "fist bump," but good enough.

I did a lot of substitute teaching during one year I didn't have a regular teaching job. Enough that technically according to ATR (Arkansas Teacher Retirement) standards that I got credit for teaching that year in regards to my (eventual) pension.

Other times I've worked at other jobs though it has been my experience that as I've gotten older other employers outside of education are more reluctant to consider me.

Of course if you recall, one year I wasn't teaching I spent a lot of time in the hospital and while at home I spent weeks with an open wound on my foot being attended to by home health care every week day and told to avoid being on my feet as much as possible.

Just because you despite something doesn't mean that ANYTHING besides that is an acceptable alternative.

Teacher's not really a job unless your politics are leftist. Then it becomes more of a sacred calling that's woefully underappreciated and underpaid.

Yet you claim you want Kasich to run against Trump, but you won't do anything more than writing a letter to him. You won't see if there are efforts to draft Kasich to run against Trump or start one yourself.

Let's not forget that the odds of someone beating Trump in the 2020 Republican primary and then going on to win the White House are effectively nil. So, giving even modest support for someone to oppose Trump is opting for whomever the Dems pick, but you just can't admit that to yourself enough to vote for the eventual nominee.

At least in my state, you unemployment benefits are determined in no small part by your earnings in the previous quarters of a year. In Arkansas your income during the third quarter of the previous year normally.

The calculation has to do with earnings over several quarters. I believe each state's max weekly benefit varies. Either he lives in a very poor state or he didn't earn too much as a machinist.

I think unemployment caps out at around 300 dollars or so a week here in Georgia. Basically peanuts really, like workman's comp.

So, now that this has been another thread derailed (knock it off, Dayton :brood:), I'll point out that Mormons are all up for this shit. Pharisees, indeed.

luckily (knock on wood) my total time unemployed since I've been legally working is about three days, but it may have been four. I have had "overlap" in 2006 when I started my current job while I was still in the Army, on terminal leave. But I did collect workman's comp for a couple of weeks healing up from a pretty serious hand injury around 1987 or so.

The max in this state is $300/wk, regardless of income. When you take the taxes out, it drops to about $256/week.

Tell me, which Democrats are openly encouraging white nationalism and support concentration camps for brown immigrants?

Joe Biden is pretty center-right and definitely not politically correct at all. He's never been divorced, which is the biggest thing you hate about Trump that I can tell. Why not vote for him?

How the fuck is that nice, you sadistic fuck? :wtf: I'm fairly sure that unemployment was insultingly less than what Tucker made in the career that I'm sure he trained extensively to get into (cuz y'all cuckservatives think the only ones who deserve money are the ones who get themselves into debt for college anyway :marathon: ).

People like are what young people are turning communist. :brood:

Well "homosexual rights" is a genie that ain't going back in the bottle any time soon, so you may as well stop wishing for it. The only Republican still trying to make a platform about it is ya boy Trump. The others moved on to scapegoating trans people but even the few shitty bathroom bills that passed like in N. or S. Carolina.met with financial pushback and the governor responsible for it lost his next election.

    You lost, pal.
    Die mad about it.

First of all, I was happy that the guy got the max unemployment possible before taxes. I wasn't picking on him. At least he worked, unlike some people.

As far as the homosexual genie, it doesn't matter. People know what the lifestyle represents and it's not a good thing. There's only one genie anyway, and no red-blooded male could resist her. ;)

To get back to The Family, is this a decent speculation documentary type thing, or is it like an area 59 UFO speculation piece? I have been somewhat meaning to take a look at it. Does it give any new revalations about people, or is it the same standard thing we already know that there are important people who make suggestions to the main political parties and they just recap most of that?
