Just like the anti abortion people. Stack the debate and give yourself the right to dismiss any other viewpoint. Awesome.

So here's one: you claim (hypothetically) that you have a right to smoke (your body, your choice, right?). How about my right to not pay for the healthcare bills run up by smokers. Insurance rates go up for everyone, including me who doesn't smoke. If you don't have insurance, but you have a heart attack and get treatment "for free", I end up paying in terms of higher prices for care and/or higher insurance rates to pay for that treatment.

There is no right to the product of another man's labor. I would never create a system where that was expected.

If you are unwilling to consider the possibility of denying them care, my definitions are not the issue here.

The first is non-sequitor bullshit. The second is just denying the reality of the law as it stands today.
So let's see if you do any better with this one. You want to drive any car you want, but the one you want doesn't meet pollution standards. Does your freedom to drive whatever you want trump the public's right to breathe clean air?

Ah, so we're resting on appeals to convention and calling it a discussion, then?

    Hypothetically, it does not.

Conventionally, I'm not trying to float to work on a magic hemp rug while coal plants are free to shove a bazillion jeeps worth of pollution up your nose.

Realistically , I probably do more to respect your right to clean air than most people here.

Explain what you mean. Obviously, there have been accounts of people who have been mistreated online to the point where they have contemplated or actually committed suicide. Are you claiming that such incidents don't exist, or don't count or what?

When you can avoid it entirely by switching off the device, it's not bullying. It's an expression of the deluded mindset that you should never have to hear or see anything that upsets you. Children can be forgiven for thinking like that, but that's where the parents should step in to set them straight.

My benevolent rule would not have any billionaires. I would adopt an economic system that wasn’t reliant on the exchange of legal tender in exchange for goods and services.

So, yes, EVERYONE, including billionaires with opinions I dislike, would have lower taxes.

So what do you do with the billionaires that already exist? You can remove the value of their currency, but they still have way more stuff than everyone else. Whatever your medium of exchange, they will automatically have more of it. Will you confiscate and redistribute that but refuse to call it taxation?

Socialism isn’t about “redistribution”. Anything you own, you own. The only change would be that the currency you’ve accumulated will no longer be of any value. No one will accept it in exchange for goods or services. The exchange would be in labor. You contribute, you receive. Just like in Star Trek.

Ok, so if you're building on current civilization, the existing wealthy people would remain wealthy. That wealth would just be expressed in real estate, food, water, gasoline, ammunition, etc. And the more warning they have about your revolution, the more of their currency they can convert into physical goods before the axe falls. Extreme consolidation and inequality of wealth would still exist.

Even if it’s physical goods, it’s not like they can sell it for food. And everyone needs food. If they want food, they have to contribute.

    Sure it is.

Any abuse that isn't a fist in the face is fictional, because humans have no emotions. They can never possibly be damaged for life by words. Repeated over and over. Targeting every doubt you already have about yourself.

Meanwhile, in the REAL world, that absolutely happens. And I'm pretty sure it happened to you. This Vulcan logic shite is an attempt to prevent having to deal with it.

If it's NOT a load of trolling horseshit, your persona is NOT that of a healthy mental state, even if you've convinced yourself it is and it's just everyone else whose weak.

They will not be in a superior bargaining position. There won’t be any bargaining positions. If you contribute, you receive. That’s it.

Ah, the "you can just turn it off!" bullshit.

    Sure.

The bullies went away at the end of the school day in my time too. Until 9am tomorrow.

Social media is part of life these days. Kids are encouraged to use it for school.

And even if it's not for school, kids use it to talk to actual friends. Turning it off means cutting yourself off from THEM. So leave it on, and get the abuse from the cunts. Or turn it off, and have to miss out on parts of friendship.

So either way the bullies win. They either get to send you hate, or they cut you off from love.

UA doesn't think this is a problem of course. He's the super special emotionless hero we should all aspire to. Unless someone has purple hair.

    A race of cunts. Wonderful.

Obviously people have emotions, but the idea that you should never see or hear anything that upsets you is something I expect you to grow out of.

You don't have to go full vulcan to not be ruled by every whim of emotion. Above all else, I expect a human to function and handle their shit.

And sure, plenty of people have been horrible to me over the years. The epiphany there is that people are trash and anything that hands them more power over you is to be condemned and resisted.

Define "health," and you will probably pin down the source of the disconnect.
