Maybe it is time people were reminded money and wealth is an illusion we agree to subscribe to. If we need to rewrite the contract because it no longer can be worked out in the old way, then maybe we do that.

I guess you would have to be able to kill the creature known as society to do such a thing.

Can you play as a female Jedi in Jedi Survivor?

Can you play as female Mario or Arthur in RDR2?

I'll acknowledge gay Mario is a thing, but Arthur or Cal?

NN isn't gay unless you really really want him to be.

Do you yearn for Nolan North to be gay, Albert?

    You can be frank, honest.

    You can be honest, Frank.

Okay walk down this path with me for a bit…

    What if… WHAT IF…

    Just hypothetically speaking here.

What if he is actually not that intelligent.

Like we beat our heads against the wall spending hours trying to display “2 + 2 = 4” in a way he can grasp but the fact of the matter he can’t and never will grasp it.

It is an unfortunate reality but some folks are just born stupid and after two decades of evidence we just need to accept that UA is one of those special people.

Here is what I do not get. At what point does AI become bad? For instance, I am not able to draw well. I could practice a lot, become better, and do all the work myself. Or I could go to an AI and create a picture which I could then then use animation programs to animate. Even today animators do not draw each cell like they used to. the animation is done digitally through programs for a large part. Those animation programs are using an artificial intelligence to render the final product saving animators tons of man hours.

At what point is the writer no longer writing if they can plug their ideas into a program and have the outline and basics of a script or manuscript written that they can just adjust? We have seen the products here, and any of us could take those basic scripts or writings and make them ours with a little bit of writing.

Way back in the day one of my business partners decided to use the rulebook of another scenario game company word for word to make our rulebook. He did not reproduce the plot, but rather the rules of a paintball game which were standard across the board. The reality is someone else put the work into typing them out and he just copy pasted them. It took me about a half hour to alter the text to be ours when they noticed and insisted we remove it. The reality is we had a formatted listing of the rules and editing it saved a shit ton of work.

At what point have you really avoided doing any work and let the AI do most of it. I cannot draw worth a damn, but with a few words I can make something that compares to people who have spent years working on the actual artistry. Should I be limited in my ability to put ideas to paper simply because I cannot draw well?

What is the title of this thread, fucknuckle? Rather than trying to fire off pedantic gotcha points when you have no actual reply, you could feel free to go fuck yourself with a fence post.

    That's your comeback?
That other people should strictly observe rigid topic adherence so that you should be able to knee-jerk react without reading?
"Whoops, my bad" just isn't in your vocabulary, is it?

AI is a replacement for writing, even if it is voice actors commenting on how it will affect them. You could have figured that out by yourself.

The AI that is currently writing scripts is fed existing scripts with existing characters and existing personalities that were written by humans.

An AI would not be able to imagine the complexities of creating characters and personalities and storylines. AI, at this point, only knows what it’s fed.

    That’s the issue.

If the contention is that AI-generated scripts couldn't compete in a free market, there is no issue. But including it in union negotiations makes the opposite argument, that they fear they have become so corporate focus group formulaic that it would be indistinguishable save for who gets paid. They are saying they deserve an income regardless of the lack of unique value they offer.

No. They’re saying the studios cannot take the writers work and hand it off to an AI.

As if they don't do that to each other. Most of the sludge Hollywood sharts out follows very specific formulas.

All stories throughout time have common formulas. The formula doesn’t make the story. Human imagination does.
