There's not enough hyper-entertaining political drama to excite the proles these days, so I hope that we have a very exciting and dramatic Presidential impeachment escapade to entertain us for the next couple of years! I don't even care who wins.
A good way not to look guilty would have been to come clean to the American people about Russia and allow the investigation to proceed unimpeded.
Okay, let's get some specifics here in order to ensure that I accurately understand your position on the subject. You used the phrase "elective abortions." What, exactly, do you mean by that? Are you okay with (and I don't care what the percentage of them are) with a woman having an abortion because if she tried to carry the fetus to term she would die? Just a simple "yes" or "no" answer is what I'm looking for. I don't care if that's true in only 1 of eighty kajillion cases or whatever, I just want to know if you think that there's nothing wrong with a woman having an abortion if it will save her life. Next, and again, I'm not interested in the percentages here, I want to know if you're okay with a woman having an abortion if there's no way that the fetus could live after it was born. And just so we're clear here, we're talking about a fetus that is stillborn, not one that is born alive and then later dies. Again, the percentages involved don't matter for this discussion. I just want to know if you think that it's wrong for a woman to carry to term a dead fetus. The reason I ask all of this is that there any number of people who are single-issue voters who agree with a particular candidate on everything, except for one particular issue, which may or may not, be related to other issues, and because they disagree with one particular issue, they refuse to vote for that candidate. If you'll remember, Bernie and Hillary agreed on 95% (or so) of the issues, but there were plenty of people who wouldn't vote for one or the other of them, because they didn't match on a particular issue, even though both Bernie and Hillary were a better match for their values than Trump was. (And I could provide examples on the Republican side, but I figured that it'd be better if I went for Democratic examples in this case.)
When I say "elective abortion" I'm referring to abortions that are performed NOT due to a risk to the life or physical health of the mother. Abortions that are due to risks to the life or physical health of the mother or because the fetus (baby) is dying anyway I would refer to as "therapeutic abortions". I support a right to those of course. Does that answer your question?
Yes, it does. There are people who would say that any abortion is wrong, even though it would save the life of the mother, or that the fetus would be stillborn. I am just trying to get at exactly what you believe, without trying to put words in your mouth. This is, no matter where you might stand on the subject, a complicated issue, and many people, regardless of party, try to reduce it to something that it is not. Now, let me go a bit further on the subject. You have stated that you don't care two shits about gay marriage because you don't think that it is not nearly as important as the subject of abortion. If you had to choose between a Republican candidate who would ban abortion in all cases and a Democratic candidate who would limit abortion to only those cases where the mother's life was in danger or a case where the fetus would be stillborn, who would you choose? Assume, for the sake of this discussion, that on every other policy, both the Republican and Democratic candidates agreed (and I'll even go so far as to say that both of them would put Robert Zubrin in charge of NASA and give him a blank check when it came to settling the red planet). Can we get you on record as saying that you'd vote for the Democratic candidate? Or would you write-in someone else?
there's really no other possibility at this point. Which is why I'm not arguing all the points in this thread. They (he, Zombie, TR) are literally happy to be on the dark side and ride the bandwagon into autocracy, or they are fucking with us and I don't choose to play along with that.
And you still defend him, despite how loathsome you say he is, but so far the only thing I've ever seen you rail about is his multiple marriages.
I can't stand the vulgar language he uses. Or the insulting and belittling way he speaks of others. Or the way he speaks in general. I don't like him saying nice things about foreign leaders. Especially Putin and Kim. I don't like the way he personalizes everything.
Everyone remember when Dubya/Obama was the Worst Possible President Ever and President Trump was a joke on The Simpsons, and everyone was like "Ha! President Trump, like that'll ever happen." Not only did it happen, but a shit-ton of people think it was a good idea and that he's a decent president. Also, there was talk in this thread about civil war if he fails to get elected to a second term. Seriously, what the fuck has happened to reality? Humanity has seriously jumped the shark this time. Not just the U.S., the entire planet is taking a hit for this one. A bunch of other countries have nukes, they cold have stopped this. I'm ashamed of all seven billion of us. I'm a solipsist now. I am clearly the only real person in a simulated reality, and whoever designed the simulation is seriously fucking with me. That is the only way this makes any sense. #Kanye2020
Wouldn't using nuclear weapons just because some loon was elected president be an extreme overreaction. ?
Nah, it's just a regular-strength over-reaction. I'd prefer to destroy the entire universe just to be sure this obvious fundamental problem with reality is corrected, but unfortunately, that is beyond our technological capabilities at this time.
Is that what you call that? I have a nephew who believes that literally. The word the doctors used was "psychotic break."
President Clinton got impeached because he lied about a blowjob. The Mueller Report lays out, in detail, that President Trump is incapable of telling the truth on anything. Double standard much?
The only Civil War talk on this board is coming from the left because the left believes Trump won’t leave office if he loses in 2020. It’s as ridiculous as those in this board who thought Obama wouldn’t leave in 2016.
The Simpsons commonly treats every person but lisa and the occasional intellectual elite as a complete moron. Though it is often for humor it does seem to occur that America has a large percentage of idiots, and idiots vote in huge blocks for other idiots. Trump was just a good choice to lead the idiots. He spanned multiple generations with his stupidity and often ended up on conservative rags and tabloids where the republican base gets their spoonfeeding from. That whole voters are stupid thing has run for generations and is why the person who has the biggest bank is considered the most likely to win because they can get their name in front of the @Zombie s the most. I am going to start watering the plants with electrolytes to bring about the end of the world before the giant garbage collapse.
Presently, yes. However, the right has been threatening civil war through the Obama presidency which I should note we are all still waiting for you guys to rise up and Obama to take your guns and put you into FEMA camps like the animals you are. After you guys elected trump I am actually moving towards the caging the Republican animals idea.
That isn't true. I've read many conservative magazines over they years and few of them ever supported Donald Trump.
Hillary. Now who won the Electoral College which is the system used in the Constitution to elect a President? Trump.
