What's to counter? Even if you didn't get private insurance subsidized through the "exchange," it doesn't negate the fact that other people can and will.
What kind of magic does it take to notice that, although roughly a quarter of New Zealanders are obese, we haven't heard anything about New Zealand deciding to deport 25% of its citizens? You'd think that would have made some headlines.
Never suggested they'd deport an actual citizen. Of more interest would be any other sort of punitive measure leveled against "unhealthy" citizens.
Oh, well, the point is that the exchange provided an option for less expensive private insurance than would have been available in the old system. That's less expensive, without a subsidy. That's a win for everyone in my book.
B-but don't you see? Other people are getting cheaper access to something UA gets for free! How can you not see how unfair that is to him? About as often as UA getting struck by an asteroid...
Ah yes, we should never worry about trying to stop something from happening, only whine about it after it's started happening.
Except no one here is panicking; they're simply pointing out the possibility which the precedence set by the OP shows. Incidentally, I find this amusing coming from a believer of AGW.
How can anyone sit there and claim there are no ACA subsidies with a straight face? http://101.communitycatalyst.org/aca_provisions/subsidies
Purposely not taking anyone seriously who doesn't understand why this one individual's story has no relevance to the ACA. If you're referring to the conversation between me and UA, the term used was "vouchers."
