one of those brothers is (was) Smolletts personal trainer. They are cut, no doubt and probably not juicers. A lot of Africans are clean as a whistle because PED's aren't a big thing there like they are in the US. Look at Francis Nganou (UFC heavyweight from Camaroon fighting out of France) who weighs in at 250 pounds and it's all muscle - the UFC drug tests constantly and so far he's clean. He's new to fighting but when he does connect he gets a KO or TKO quite often (no shit?) so he just might get a well-deserved title shot very soon. I think he's got cardio issue like most extremely muscled fighters do, but he usually doesn't need three rounds to get the finish.

not my cup of tea. I just follow MMA and boxing and everybody's shirtless (not the females obviously!) so I know what everyone there looks like shirtless. Trust me, you wouldn't want to see some of the heavier weight class fighters shirtless. Of course it has nothing to do with actual fighting ability. It's not a beauty contest.

I hope they get to keep any money Smollet paid them - it was a fair contract afaik, not a contract to do something illegal unless they knew Smollet planned to use it file a false police report.

If OTOH they were in on it, I guess the Chicago cops thought it was a fair 'plea' deal to forgive their complicity to get their testimony and solve a messy case and quickly close out a public relations nightmare for the city.

The decision makers in Chicago probably didn't get too deeply into the dueling narratives dynamic or politics, & just focused on the 'truth,' which is pretty cool.

Apparently the talk is that the high priced lawyer wanted Smollett to come clean and confess and Smollett fired him and got a new lawyer which is where that crazy statement came from.

All Nigerians are certainly not ripped, at least the ones I knew in the army. All MMA fighters are not ripped except many are for the weigh-in, when they are dehydrated and 15 or 20 pounds lighter than when they actually fight the next day. Most MMA fighters are cut though pretty much all the time. That said the heavyweight division runs from 206 pounds to a maximum of 265 so most of those guys are packing some serious fat because unless they are over 265 they don't have to deal with the painful, dangerous ordeal of making weight for the official weigh-in.

Damn Smollett is either or dumb as a bag of hammers. The Nigerians came clean (with receipts to prove it) so now the entire sane world knows Smollett was not attacked by two white men yelling Trumpian phrases and racial slurs. The cat is out of the bag - he should have stuck with the first lawyer and worked on his "yes I orchestrated a fake attack but here's why I did it" tearful & heartfelt speech and cut his losses. But now he's doubling down on the stupid by sticking to his already discredited story.
