Do White House officials normally have information about the FBI's search warrants? Maybe they do in high-profile cases like this, but really, I'd rather the FBI didn't give the administration any information.

Plausible deniability in case shit goes wrong and it turns out this is just a witch hunt?

The FBI can and should release as much information as possible.

If the warrant was anything other than embarrassing to Fearless Leader he would have released it already. My guess is that the document itself is extremely embarrassing because of what they are looking for. Say, how about a list of the nuclear launch code protocols? Maybe a list of intelligence assets in Russia or North Korea...

Anyway, I am not too confiudent in this whole search thing. If they only searched Mar-a-lago it is probably an investigation only into the documents he took, and though it would be great for them to convict on any crime, that would be just the smallest thing. Maybe it is to secure sensitive blackmail info that he stole before they charge him, but it does not seem to have to do with jan 6th.

Oh, and let us remember that let us say he is convicted of a federal crime he will be pardoned by desantis, abbot, cruz, or himself when joe loses in 24. Even Joe might pardon him in a gift to his BFF Mitch. The whole point of NY charging him, or another state, was that the DC fools could not pardon him. I am not saying do not do it, but this might not change the fact they will never let a US president see the inside of a jail cell.

Have you ever seen a search warrant? I have and they don't always go into specifics, which I suspect would be the case if they were looking for classified material. It would say something like they were looking for documents that the resident/suspect/whoever wasn't authorized to have.

Don't warrants have to be specific about what they are looking for and where they are looking? In other words, they're not supposed to be able to ransack the place.
