Just finished the season. Despite the tendency toward self-indulgence that others have pointed out (every episode should have been 10-15 minutes shorter, and it reminds me of the Family Guy gags that go on far longer than they should, like the Conway Twitty bit or every Peter and the Giant Chicken sequence ever), I enjoyed it. I don't know what to make of the move away from farce this season. On the one hand, it does make it a little more of a TNG knockoff than a parody. On the other hand, I liked TNG, so I like watching this.
Well, if the goal is to ape Star Trek, then having the creator make sure his girlfriend gets a part is about as on-the-nose as it gets ...
Yeah, I wish they trimmed the episodes down to keep them under an hour and just used that content to make another 3-4 episodes. It's been taking me a while to get through all the episodes because I'm burnt out after one episode (though I really enjoy it).
Watching Family Guy, just noticed that the guy who plays Bortus is the same actor who voices Peter's boss.
The show has won an award given by a bunch of space geeks. https://twitter.com/SethMacFarlane/status/1644815051419959296?s=20
I have conditions: 1: C****y is dead, and she must stay that way. 2: Everyone pretends C****y never existed. 3: They keep Klyden to a minimum. If Seth can agree to these terms, I will allow season 4 to happen.
That story is a bunch of nothing burger anyway. There's nothing new to report. McFarlane said some offhand vague shit during an interview and the fanboy press went nuts. Sites like Gizmodo shouldn't even be considered news sites.
