We need to see unemployment raise by half so employees will know they are fortunate to have jobs. CEO Tim Gurner of Gurner Group, at the Financial Property Summit.

Daniel Morgan was whipped 500 times, and that just made him more revolution-y.
Pinkerton men shooting strikers just made the strikers more rock-throwey.
People don't tend to go "yes, master! :hail:" when you fuck with them.
Well, the people who are already "yes master!" -ish lick the boot harder, but you've already got them.
Tyrants never understand how people tick.

Yeah dude, try to do your business without other people. You will find that without workers you cannot do much by yourself.

However, do fuck the economy up asshole. Do destroy the systems of the government and finance. The people who are going to survive are going to be the people who are closest to the bottom of the supply chain. That is because they can get supplies. The people who will fall the hardest will be those who rely on the system for their overblown lifestyles.

My life is not going to crash incredibly hard because the electricity shuts off and food becomes a little scarce because people will need trade to survive. That means pretty quickly the workers are going to need to produce something or everyone survives. Those things we need for survival are not golf courses, your expensive cars, your big fucking home, or your brand name bullshit.

Your overinflated entitled lifestyle is possible because of the system. Do us all a favor and shoot it in the face to spite the real workers.

This has been open for decades. Businesses hate actual full employment because it makes it more expensive to hire and retain employees. Our economies demand and are explicitly maintained to have some level of unemployment so that the suffering of the unemployed can grease the economies wheels.

    @Bailey DEFEND THIS NONSENSE!

Or don't. We have these assholes in spades here too.

I'm not a communist, it has lots of other problems, but I certainly understand the "workers of the world unite part."

Edit: Oh, sorry, there you are. :D

Nothing to defend either haha, modern Australia is lucky that history means we have more support for various progressive programs, but we also have a lot of FYGM assholes along with enablers who take the good things we have for granted.

There's no greater example really than the amount of people who unironically and proudly call Australia "the lucky country", without knowing where that phrase actually originated:

Marx also coined the term "ready reserve of the unemployed." When I was in radio it was common practice for program directors to show disc jockeys who got uppity a folder full of resumes from wannabe dj's and tell them there were plenty of people who wanted their job. :brood:

Yup, employers want a certain percentage of people to be unemployed at all times. Just like they want a some amount of people to be visibly homeless at all times, so as to serve as a constant reminder to their employees of the consequences of misbehaving.

Really instructive how openly they are willing to be evil under the assumption that no one who would stop them can, and no one who can will.

More so that they claim to be mystified that anyone is interested in socialism. You don't want that? Well this is how you get that.

I think that's universal. When i worked for Ashley Furniture, they initiated incentive pay on the lines and they included the inspectors in that - even though they did nothing to get the furniture built. Meanwhile, line suppliers (my job) who by definition had to work harder to keep a high production line earning their incentives - didn't.

When we had a meeting one of the other suppliers raised his hand and ask the plant manager why that was and the manager said "All I can tell you is that if you don't like it I've got 200 applications from folks who'll happily take your job."
