I've seen a few episodes of this show here and there, so for the hell of it, I bought season one on DVD Monday evening. So I'm sitting there, enjoying this sick, twisted version of the old classic Johnny Quest formula, and what happens to Dr. Venture in the first episode? He gets his kidney stolen, again ("one, two, this is serious!"). While that bit hit a tad close to home, overall, I totally love this show, even Dr. Girlfriend . Edit: Hey, what's not to love about a hot cartoon brunette super-villian who sounds like Harvey Firestien?
In the last episode of season two, Dr. Girlfriend shares a terrible secret with the Monarch and David Bowie is in it. Probably the best show on Adult Swim though, there is never a dull episode and season two is even better than the first.
Fucking hilarious. I have the DVD's as well. Took them freaking forever to get season two done because the Adult Swim people are morons. And season two is better then season one. If you think it's a parody of Johnny Quest then you haven't seen nothing yet. I won't spoil it for you but there is an episode in season one and one in season two with two scenes that will make you laugh so hard that milk will come out of your nose. Even if you haven't been drinking any. The Monarch is my favorite character.
I want to be Brock Samson when I grow up. Oh, and in Season 2, we find out Hank and Dean's secret protection from being killed in all these adventures.
