I had bariatric surgery in 2018 when I hit 300 pounds. January 2019 I spent a week in the hospital (including 3 in ICU) with pancreatitis caused by gallstones. It really sucked. I'm fine now and exercising regularly. Thanks for caring.

I considered bariatric surgery as well. However, for all things medical, I go through the VA. They insisted I take a 16 week course first (MOVE). I lost 30 pounds doing that, so, I thought I'd keep it up instead of the surgery. That was 4 years ago. I haven't lost any further weight as my schedule and control of my house and groceries went out the window when my adult son moved back home (long story). Anyway ..., I gained back ... between 5 and 10 pounds, depending on the day. But, now with COVID 19 lockdown, I've gained another 15. So, I'm about 10 pounds less than when I first thought about the surgery.

I understand why people refer to him as a child, but that endears me to him to be perfectly honest given that he seems sincere in his beliefs.

Bear in mind, though, I grew to be fond of Dayton.....

I don't know if he knows it, but I've known him since my TBBS days along with others here and I've never hated him. I just disagree with him. Though not always. Obviously he's a really good guy.

Tererun has a thick skin. Volpone is pretty handy and has a good eye for design. Apostle was genuinely kind to me when my dog died.

I did consider using a different word than "despise" because, honestly, there's only one person on this board I know personally, so can't really say I despise anyone. Just despise their online personas I guess. They each may be very decent people in person. I know text does not always convey proper ... tone.
