Uhmm... ok, that was a wrong answer on @Bickendan's part. But ..., yea, it was determined a long time ago that I'm not gettin' into heaven.
The problem is that unless he's willing to exercise, eat better, etc. bariatric surgery is just temporary fix. It derails the mechanism that makes it so hard to permanently lose weight, but without a commitment to major changes to the lifestyle that brought about the problem the weight will come back. Don't get me wrong, it was a blessing for me, but it's no magic solution.

sad but true - the guy's problem is between his ears. If he doesn't have the motivation to take care of himself he won't get healthy. My wife's aunt had either bariatric surgery or some other procedure to reduce her stomach capacity. She gained her fat back after a time, because she just ate twice as often.
Yep. I get angry (I tend to live by my heart, which gets me in trouble) but I don’t genuinely despise anyone here.
