That guy probably works for Monster Cables. I have those cables on 2 HDTV's and one even from my PS3/Blu-ray to my 1080P HDTV. I've never had a problem with interference from day 1.
I kinda have to run the cable thru the VCR if I'm going to record programs (I haven't stepped up to a DVR yet). But again, the goddamn thing has not repeated the problem in almost a week. At this point I'm calling it a fluke. If it does it again, then it's return time.
^ Are you REALLY recording stuff to vhs though? And on THAT TV? Cause if not, what's the point? If it IS the vcr and you want to record to vhs still then just move a vcr to the bedroom tv and record there. But anyway.... I guess I wouldn't worry about it. You never did say if you fired up the vcr to try and reproduce the static. Mess around with the vcr channel tuner too.
I'll have you fuckers know that I bought a Sony Walkman at Goodwill so I could listen to audiocassettes via the iPod port on my car.
Not an "iPod port", it's a 3.5mm audio jack! I understand they are marketing to the iPod crowd... but still it's dumb.
While Volpone's obviously talking about a 3.5mm jack, there are car stereos out there with a USB port on them that, when plugged in with an iPod or iPhone, can fully interact with the device and display song and artist information on the stereo's display. It's actually really slick.
They have DVDR's that work like VCR's now. Might be a good step up if you don't want to spend the $$ on a DVR subscription.
Be kinda hard for me and the wife to sit down for an evening and watch the recorded tapes in the living room then . Tried to reproduce it any way I could think of without sucess (or would it be failure?), but I haven't tried messing with the VCR tuner. I'll go fiddle some more.
Eventually. I'm in no hurry to get the latest tech. We have about a billion blank VHS tapes lying around and four working VCRs.
