This is a piece from an American pilot flying over in China because Asia has a chronic shortage of pilots right now. Although he's bitching mostly about the aviation side of things, it paints a pretty grim picture of QOL for the average Chinese person. Ignore all the aviation-speak if you don't understand it and pay attention to the pertinent stuff. I mean...just wow.
