The wall didn't meet safety standards and a kid died.

Sounds like a righteous lawsuit to me. It's not like alcohol or drugs contributed to his death...like jumping the wall to pet a tiger or something like that.

Taxes in San Fransisco will be going up soon.

Definitely not. He didn't have very much alcohol or marijuana in his system and this result should never have been reported:

That's one or two beers and THC consistent with passive inhalation. Doubtful he was even buzzed.

Man now I feel bad for the guy. Not enough to even have any sufficient fun and now his name is getting tossed in the dirt.

That and he died from being mauled by a tiger... much more interesting death than most, but would suck majorly.

A 250 pound Siberian tiger!? Is that a typo, or was this thing a juvenile? I thought Siberians got much bigger'n that.

National Geographic lists them being around 660 lbs and tiger in question was listed as four years old.



While tragic something about this story always stank. Initially it was suspected the tiger had help getting out of the cage.

Sadly the tiger [Tatiana] involved was shot and killed at the scene.

Yep. Though I don't blame the police officers, at that point I don't know what else they could've done; Three people were wounded, one was already dead and the tiger was headed their way.

That said, tigers are wild animals, being transplanted to cement enclosures in San Francisco isn't likely to make them anymore people friendly. I can't fault the tigers for being tigers.

Any alcohol or drugs taints your credibility in many cases. Example:

two young women were traveling through Arizona in the winter, and wanted to get off the main highway (shortcut or whatever).

Their car went off the road and buried in a snowbank. One girl lost both her feet due to severe frostbite, and both nearly died from hypothermia before a rancher found them.

They tried to sue Arizona for not putting up signs warning people that taking backroads in the winter can be dangerous.

When both admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day of their mishap, they were basically "shown the door" and their lawsuit crumbled.

That wall might not have been up to standard but those guys were fucking with the tiger. Why are they now leaving that part out?

They had proof that the guys were taunting the tiger and the tiger came at them.
