You are a sexist creep. You don't get to start torching people unless you want to start with yourself.

As much as I loathe Franken the continuous rush to judgement regarding he and various others accused of things like this needs to stop.

Get a criminal complaint filed first.

Franken's always been a creep, going back at least to his Saturday Night Live days. Guy's just skeevy.

You use this phrase a lot.
Me, I don't loathe a lot of people, and when I do, it's because they're murderers, or oppressors, or predators of some kind.
But...you routinely root for murder, oppression, and predation.
You side with bullies if the targets are people you don't like.
You've bragged about bullying.

So, what does one have to do to earn your loathing?
I bet it's petty, and involves your ego.

Franken is rude, disrespectful and discourteous to people he disagrees with.

I'll take a simple threat of violence even directed at me any day over rudeness, lack of courtesy, and disrespect. At least a threat of violence shows someone considers you enough of a factor to be worthy of direct confrontation where they are willing to put "skin in the game" so to speak.

And if that gives you a pass, what's the point of having high-minded values at all?

He's been a creep forever on many levels and she's been whoring herself out for decades. What a shocker that their worlds collided!

At the time Franken was on a comedy tour. There was also a kissing episode where a skit called for this. During rehearsal he kissed her against her will. The picture was taken later. The woman in the picture took offense after seeing and knowing it was distributed.

This is on par with Trump's behavior before he was a candidate, so yes, we should throw him under the bus. Or elect him president.

I'm talking these politicos Franken was "rude", to.

He should at least be on the Supreme Court.

I'm very disappointed. One difference is that he's welcoming an ethics investigation.

One of the strangest moments I can remember was when I first heard that Al Franken had gone into politics. My brain just couldn't parse the words. I can only hope this incident somehow leads to the restoration of the proper timeline, when he was nothing more than the worst writer on SNL.

Seriously though, this thing where comedians write jokes or sketches as a thinly veiled excuse to kiss or grope attractive people is nearly as old as comedy itself, but it's still shitty.

Kate McKinnon clearly wrote the skit where she gets to make out with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

And all the cat adoption sketches where Charlize Theron and Reese Witherspoon have to grope her.

So the main difference I'm seeing with Franken's response is 1) he's sorry, 2) he doesn't remember it the way she remembers, but that's not as important as to how his actions made her feel, and 3) he's holding himself fully accountable and calling for an ethics investigation into himself.

This is the way to handle these types of allegations.
